A couple other schools are releasing next Tuesday (Harvard, brown) but I don’t want to have an email from Stanford randomly pop into my inbox </p>
<p>Are we sure Stanford only sends them out on Friday? The list of past release sort of debunks that assumption</p>
<p>@lucky: we’re not completely sure we’re just speculating, although there seems to be a lot of factors that make us think it will be Friday.</p>

<p>Reasons why is could be 12/7:
-It tends to be two weeks after thanksgiving
-It tends to be the day after Columbia/Dartmouth/Cornell
-The three aforementioned ivies were more affected by Sandy than Stanford and are still getting decisions out.
-Stanford is pretty much always before Harvard, which, as you said, will be Tuesday
-We are desperate and need hope to cling onto.</p>

-The 7th is earlier than any time in the past 10 years
-The legacy letter said the 14th - which I think we have collectively confirmed is not always (or even usually) accurate.</p>

I also forgot to delete that guy from the facebook group for half the program haha</p>
<p>Also, it certainly will not be the 14th, if you ask me. When phoned, they “can’t tell us, except that the tentative date will be the 14th”. That means that it wouldn’t be, or they could just tell us “it’ll be the 14th” like said on the legacy letters.</p>
<p>@raqbau, those “factors” are also 50% selectively chosen and backwards rationalized because we’re all desperately hoping it’ll be Friday haha.</p>
<p>Wouldn’t be surprised if it was Wednesday or even Tuesday, but still praying like no other for Friday. Or even tomorrow. Although I’m not psychologically prepared for tomorrow haha.</p>

<p>tbh, I would be surprised if Stanford released the same day as Harvard and Brown. They tend to do things on their own day. Mondays are rare, Tuesday is taken, I think next Wed is a viable day. I also think this Friday is possible, because Stanford usually comes out before Harvard.</p>
<p>Mostly I am just telling myself it will be soon cause I can’t stand the thought of waiting much longer.</p>
<p>HOWEVER, Mumford and Sons’ new album is seriously helping me cope a lot. Everyone go buy it!!! It’s actually superb. I would say possibly even better than Sigh No More.</p>
