<p>So I’ve been trying to work on my MIT application, switching back and forth between that and this thread.

<p>I’ve tried so hard to start my Northwestern essay. It’s just one essay and I know I should finish before Stanford results…</p>
<p>I ran downstairs just a second ago to tell my mama that Stanford might release decisions on Friday and she said, “just remember K—fasdf, the numbers are against you.”

<p>I just decided to try to distract myself by watching the show My So-Called Life, and now I’m going to (attempt) to sleep. I couldn’t sleep from 4-6:30 this morning so I might as well try to START sleeping early.</p>
<p>I agree on the whole “friends don’t really understand” thing. One of my friends just thinks it’s a given that I’ll get in (sucks that the only other person applying from our school is her brother) and another (who didn’t apply anywhere early) just keeps telling me to calm down.</p>

<p>Let’s just say my friends would always choose a party over studying and SF State is tied with Chico as their top choice. I love them to pieces, though. This is just one thing we can’t relate about.</p>

<p>@Holocene, I have a similar problem. My house is filled with Stanford paraphernalia. If I don’t get in, I’ll have to pee on it and then hide everything.</p>

<p>@statlanta: Yes, by sitting in my (painfully easy) Spanish class and refreshing this thread, I am thereby relinquishing all of my social life. I can have a website open while I do other things you know…</p>
<p>@Holocene: Most of my friends are reaching high as well, but these specific friends (who are still reaching high) didn’t apply early. I think some of my other friends would relate more, but I don’t want to tell them when I’m getting a decision because I don’t want to have to tell them I’m rejected right away (if I am).</p>
