***Official Thread for 2015 BSMD applicants***

@faymer‌ 12 pm!

I had tcnj phone interview today. about 50 min long, no out of the ordinary questions. good luck for tomorrow @jb9823 and @faymer

anyone else hear back from BU yet? their admissions office hasn’t emailed me back yet either…

@faymer‌
I got my supplement for the Union/AMC on December 1st.

Any info on Case Western or BU?

@dadofd For Drexel/Drexel program: in state 288/54/12 and oos 852/81/16. Good Luck!

Hey guys anyone here applying for UIC GPPA program or Northwestern’s HPME program?

I got a call for 1 interview out of 2 for UIC. It’s next Friday and its an interview plus inpromptu essay. Any tips for interview? :slight_smile:

For all those applying to EMSAP:

I received an email from the University Honors Program today, with the following line:

“We congratulate you on your EMSAP interview, and we hope that you will consider applying for UAB’s original honors program, in which the vast majority of EMSAP students have participated in the past.”

I had no prior email/letter stating that I had been selected for the EMSAP interview, so I am guessing that this email from the Honors Program was just faster then the official snail mail that should arrive in the next few days.

Congratulations to all those who received an interview!

@rororoyourboat‌
Congrats on the interview! If I may ask, were you in state or OOS? Also what are your stats?

@anandhini BU told me the board of admissions is still reviewing applications for the accelerated program!

So, I haven’t even been admitted to Hofstra UG yet, and I was wondering if I was supposed to send them the supplemental application that is on their BS/MD main page. It says on the page that admitted applicants that indicated interest in the program would receive the supplement by mail. Can anyone help me out? I’m confused as to what to do.

@upstream‌ for Drexel/Drexel OOS, is the “81” representative of the number of applications forwarded to the med school?

@rororoyourboat‌ My D also got the same email from UAB’s Honors College today. She was also surprised because she has not received the official EMSAP interview invitation yet (but hoping to get soon).

@jb9832 total no. of applicants/ interviewed/ enrolled … so 81 represents total number of interview invites

@Bsmd2015‌

In-state.

I’d prefer not to disclose my exact stats at this point in the college application process, but I have above average scores, research, volunteering, and plenty of other ECs.

Congratulations to everyone with EMSAP interview invites!
Also thank @upstream for the Drxl statistics. It seems only 10% would receive interview invite, which is quite low.

@Bsmd2015‌ I applied to Villanova/Drexel, Lehigh/Drexel, and Muhlenberg/Drexel programs. I only heard from Villanova so far and had to complete the supplemental application online again. I did not have to pay the $150 to DCOM yet, and I was told that I will be contacted as soon as possible if selected for an interview with DCOM for February.

Has anyone heard anything from Lehigh/Drexel or Muhlenberg/Drexel?

Also does anyone know around when I will need to pay the $150 to DCOM?

@anandhini @lucky139
I received a phone call from BU SMED for an interview on UG and Medical campus yesterday.

@peanut7 I heard from Drexel UG that Drexel COM would email me later in January on how to pay the app fee

Does every Drexel applicant get forwarded to the med school?

A note to those waiting to hear about UAB EMSAP interviews: you should have made a BlazerID when applying. That ID is also a @uab.edu email address. I believe UAB may have sent the invitations to that email address rather than our regular email addresses. Dumb, I know, but I would check there just in case. I know that UAB is making every effort to contact kids they will interview for EMSAP and they will not give your interview spot away until they hear back from you first.
