@lax1997, just for context, NEOMED very rarely takes people out-of-state. If you look in the MSAR you can see the exact statistics, but I remember when I applied to the NEOUCOM program (now called NEOMED) a long time ago, I was immediately rejected. Unless youâre an underrepresented minority in medicine, NEOMEDâs BS/MD program really doesnât recruit from outside Ohio.

Hi - does anyone know about the alumni Brown PLME interview? My S has received an invite from Brown Alumni who is also a MD. Just wondering what this interview will be like and how to prepare for it. Is it an undergraduate interview or a PLME interview? Thanks so much!

@GoodDoctor It is simply an Alumni interview. PLME does not offer interviews. I was accepted to PLME Early Decision this year. My interview was very laid back; we talked about Brown and just random things. She did not ask me anything about PLME, why I wanted to be a doctor, or anything like that.
@GoodDoctorâ, My D had a Brown alumni interview and she applied to PLME as well. This interview is for general undergraduate admission; PLME does not hold interviews for the program itself. There is a detailed description of how much weight Brown gives to the interviews on their website.
Iâm not sure whether the interviewer even knows if the student applied to PLME. Some students choose to disclose that they did during the interview, and others choose not to. Hope this helped!

@lax1997, wow that is very unusual then. You got into even a better med school, so it all worked out for the best. Maybe your ECs were so good (research, etc.) that NEOMED didnât want to waste an interview spot since youâd have better options. Either way congrats - PLME is a really option.
I just received an email saying RPI started reading/processing all Common App applications. Did anyone get the same email?
