Folks, let us get back to the friendly style. As GoldenRock in his post (#2813) mentioned let us be polite - not get personal, let us not attack the administrators - they are trying do their best. They want most of this fabolous group to join their program and they are trying to do their best.
It is hard for them also - if you look at programs like NW HPME and Albany combined programs they conduct few days of interviews each week for 8-10 weeks. Yes, this is the model they chose themselves which works for them and the applicants.
NU undergrad and HPME release about the same time. If someone is waitlisted for NU they didnāt make the cut for HPME. If someone responded stating they will still attend without HPME they may be admitted without HPME.
Rice has to release results before Baylor interviews are released.
Congratulations @88Mom88@narkor for MIT, VCU, RPI, REMS. I believe @HS2DirectMed also has all 4 of them. it makes 3 of you with these 4 acceptances and many more for few of you. You are all distinguished members of 2016 BS MD Batch. you 3 can align and decide which one you all want to pick. next batches after 2016 will learn a lot from you all, when you put up your profile, experiences, advises. Congratulations and Good Luck !!!
Congratulation to all the acceptances! As you compare and contrast on all of your offers, please post your thoughts on each school and the reasons for your decision. It will be beneficial for future applicants.
Congratulations to all those who received acceptance(s) and Good Luck to those waiting.
How are you guys and gals planning to spend your summer (10 weeks) before college?
Past CC parents and students: any suggestions to make this summer before college productive, fun-filled, and memorable! Appreciate your responses.
I come from a family of engineers who has no clue about medical education/process/colleges.
Can one rely on the info from the following link? http://medical-schools.startclass.com/
Pretty much it is reliable. If you will not be satisfied by yourself only as a general physician, the reputation of the medical school you attend will likely play a role in your medical career
@HS2DirectMed To an extent, Iād say yes; however, look at how they discern the smart rank. It does somewhat provide an indication, but as with any statistics, numbers donāt always provide a full picture.
Here is the current status as of 03/15/2016 12 Noon PDT - College admissions announcement for BS/MD.
UAB - 2/2
RPI / AMC - 2/29 (Rolling admission)
Union / AMC - 2/29 (Rolling admission)
Sienna / AMC - 3/5 (Rolling admission)
Temple/Temple - 3/3 (10 offers from 32 interviewed)
PSU/Jefferson - 3/4
Augusta U/Medical College of Georgia - 3/6
Cincinnati - 3/7
SLU - 3/7
UR REMS - 3/7
VCU - 3/8
UConn SPIM - 3/10 (Postal mail)
NEOMED - Email for acceptance and waitlisted and no one reported about rejection. It also sent postal mail on 3/11 and that will indicate to which UG school accepted. Appears the notification process differs from OOS to IS.
Best recommendation, just wait until you get your postal and/or email and don't worry about other posts.
