Everyone ready for BU decisions tmrw!!!
I got into HPME. I am very happy.
@narkor Appreciate if you could please help me whether to choose REMS or HPME as you have experience with both programs. May I know why your second daughter chose REMS over HPME? My understanding is that HPME is ranked higher than REMS and you save a year (7 vs 8). You can PM me. Appreciate your help.
Congrats @tenderp & @HS2DirectMed for NW HPME admissions.
Rochester UG decisions have come out just now. My D got admission.
Do any one know how to find if they have given any merit aid in the portal. or do they send aid info later in a email? Thanks.

Sorry I meant HPME
@GoldenRock On asking my daughter who got her decision right after the finalist weekend (although REMS decision was later as you know): she said once you get onto the portal it first opens an admissions decision letter and then there is a financial aid tab and if you click on the tab there is financial aid info which tells you how much you got as FA. Hope this helps and do not hesitate if you have further Qs about it. I can clarify again and give step by step instructions.
Received W&J/Temple interview around 15 minutes ago
Someone please tell me why Miami combined med is taking a considerable amount of time to make decisions.
Notre Dame decisions are out!!
UCLA decisions are out. My D got UG acceptance.
Are BU 7 year decisions coming out tomorrow with general admissions?
@hrim1014 yes
Are there any Burnett Medical Scholars for UCF here?
Seeking advice–I realize that there are threads on College Confidential concerning this topic, but I would also like to hear from the individuals from this thread. Your knowledge will be very helpful. I apologize in advance if this ends up offending anyone, too.
Does the name/prestige of the undergraduate school you attend matter for medical school?
And does the name/prestige of the medical school you attend matter for residency?
No one in my family has gone through this process, so thank you for any comments!
Boston SMED ADMITTED!
Rejected from the BU BS/MD program
There have been so, so many rejections for me this election cycle…I’m just waiting for something to go right!! This makes two places that I have interviewed at where they have rejected me after the interview, and I do not feel too good about the third interview that I had just yesterday at Case, and certainly, I am not expecting a PLME acceptance or Rice/Baylor interview anytime soon!!
There is just a lot of hurt. I have to wonder, what about me looks good on paper but does not hold up in person? There is a lot of “Is it my fault? Or is it just impossible for me to stand out?”
Ah, well…it’s all part of the process, I guess!! :’) Onwards!!
Admitted to BU SMED program!!! Ecstatic
Accepted to the BU SMED Class of 2020! Super excited! Is there a FB page or groupme admits can join?
