@bsmdacceptme Hey thanks! I got a call from Dr. Shevlin at exactly 12:30.
@svnya123, Congratulations again!!! Party is going to be over very soon, any ideas where you will go…
So is there a facebook group for TCNJ BS/MD students or NJMS BS/MD students?
@svnya123, Congratulations!!!
Despite not interviewing, I got into UIC GPPA. Very strange, but cool nonetheless.
can someone make a facebook group for the TCNJ BS/MD students?
I guess everyone who was admitted to NJMS has been called.
Congrats to all
Or do you think they may still have some more openings?
congratulations to everyone who has been admitted.
Does anyone know if the 7 year programs frown upon if you apply out of the program? e.g say you get a killer score of 40+ in MCAT and now want to try for a better med school.
depends on the program, i know most say you can apply out but you’ll lose your guaranteed seat
I have heard that UMiami will give you additional medical school merit scholarship if you score really high. i.e. they treat you almost like they would treat an incoming person in their med school. Does anyone have any information on this?
or for that matter similar information from other 7 year programs?
I also heard that TCNJ is friendly in applying out as well, specially you score unprecedented high score (in the 40ies)
@sam999 Pretty much each program has their own set of guidelines/rules. Even y’day some body posted s/he successfully moved out from a BS/MD program to a MD school in CA. Some programs you will lose the seat and some programs you are allowed, some programs MCAT needed or not needed. Especially if MCAT is needed, more likely you can apply out (but may loose the seat). I have not explored in the school where my D mostly will join in OU. But the current students mentioned it is allowed with no penalty and here MCAT is needed to move on to MD school.
