Logged out when switching forums…not using back arrow.
Guys, guys, guys. I’ve figured it out.
The logouts are meant to show an increase in the number of visits. My visit counts have gone up by ~20 in the last few days but I can guarantee I haven’t come on that much. Accounting for the number of times I’ve been logged out and it’s near perfect.
They’re doing it on PURPOSE because we asked about site traffic. This way they can show us how great visit numbers are!

Romani, I don’t think the site-traffic theory is that much of a stretch. I’ve never seen a convincing rationale for the downgrade, and they certainly are forcing us to click a lot.
How did someone post a comment this am, on a closed thread? ML, it’s the Ivy rejection thread you closed on 3/28.

ML, just an FYI, on my phone I had a text box to post on that thread but on my computer it’s locked. Refreshed on my phone and it was gone.

And the funny thing ML…that post after you closed the thread…got posted TWICE.
@romanigypsyeyes, as @Roger_Dooley assured you a while back, none of the technical difficulties has anything to do with an attempt to artificially increase engagement metrics. I know it sounds repetitive, but we do not enjoy this situation and are working in the backend to have it fixed.
Again, as @Roger_Dooley informed the community, all technical releases have been pushed back due to last week’s special circumstances. As promised, as soon as we have any developments to share, I’ll make sure to let you know asap. Thanks!
@moody208 - No offense, but I don’t believe a word you or Roger Dooley say. So you can “assure” me all you want, but I’m way past the point of believing anything.
@lookingforward, the post at the end of the closed thread had been automatically put in CC’s spam folder - it must have looked suspicious for some reason. An administrator “released” it this morning, so it was added on to the thread, even though it had been closed. Apparently, released posts always show up at the end of the thread, even if others have posted in the meantime. That’s another item on the list of things to be fixed.

Not only was I logged out again - when I tried to log in (refresh didn’t work) I got a message saying wrong password. Retried and got same message again. So I did the forgot my password and when I tried again - with my original password - it said I couldn’t use my old password (the one supposedly that was wrong.)
ML, have you seen the list?? Is adding post numbers on it?
@LasMa, yes, adding post numbers is on the list. We’ve been told it’s a high priority, but they can’t give us a date as to when it will happen.
ML, is subscribing to subforums on the list?
