***OFFICIAL THREAD TO REPORT PROBLEMS OR MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT NEW CC SITE

I used the advanced forum search…and still got no matches for almost everyone. I DID get today’s posts for one poster.

Clearly, something was “altered” during this server maintenance.

Too bad they didn’t add post numbers.

Yup. My searching didn’t turn up anything.

I noticed the missing flag button, too. That’s a little inconvenient.

Well, maybe in some respects, but as far as freedom of speech…ummm…not so much!

@CTTC *I was wondering the same thing, mrnephew! I wondered if things would be fixed, or yet more would be wrong. What’s “maintenance” mean to the CC administrators these days? *

It means “maintain radio silence.”

For what it’s worth, I have the “Flag” button.

I’ve been logged out several times, but the flag button still appears for me.

Flag is back!

The mobile site appears to be tweaked as well, though outwardly all I can tell is that some of the text alignment seems to have shifted. Logins have been sketchy for the mobile site for me as well, but not on the desktop.

On the mobile, it seems more neater somehow. I like it better.

Hey, the flag button’s back!

My mobile app is acting weird. Looks strange- like from some old iteration. And wants me to log in all the time but if I click on… um I forget what at the moment, it takes me to a normal looking page.

Doing the same to me. So much for the maintenance they were doing.

Why are Stanfords budget and Layfayette Q n A featured threads and I have to see them every time I look at latest posts? I’m sure they are both lovely schools but do I need to look at those threads evey time I refresh? :open_mouth:

If you hover over the post, you can see a gear-like icon. Click on the gear and then on the word “dismiss” and the thread will go back to being listed in chronological order.

Can’t “hover” with a mobile device!

When I exit the forum on my iPhone, I have to log on every time I come back in. This only started happening after the maintenance that was done the other night. How do I fix it?

Nevermind. I deleted the app then did a new install. That cleared the problem.

I’ve had to log in every time on both my ipad and laptop since maintenance. I thought whatever they were going to do would make this forum work better not worse. Should have known they would manage to screw it up even more.

Why does the site on the iPhone look like the by-product of someone who doesn’t know more bullet points and line breaks?

Interesting…I also need to log on…but all I have to do is hit the “log on” words…and poof…I’m logged on. I don’t need to type my screenname and password.

The mobile application needs LOTS of work. The original design was terrific, and was my access means of choice…until they botched it up in the conversion.

thumper- that’s how it’s working for me, too. I’m logged out every time (it seems) but I just have to click on “log In” and I’m back.

When i do an ordinary search (Search Entire Site, which is the default in the search box, for me,) I get logged off.
