*** official uc davis 2022 waitlist**

that’s the most relatable thing i’ve seen like people ask where i’m going to college and i’m like IDK yet i don’t wanna mention davis being a possibility and jinx it @UJazzy

I called Friday afternoon and an really nice student answered the phone. She had made it off the wailist last year and remembered how stressful the not knowing and waiting can be. She said they were still evaluating (that was Friday) and would be rolling out waitlist decisions soon until June 30th. I asked her about freshman housing and it is still guaranteed. I tried to inquire about how many spots they had this year but she didn’t know and/or would not be allowed to answer.

Ugh, this is killing me. I want to know the results so badly… I have to confirm my cal grant soon :frowning:

@climber1 right? I just don’t know what to do. Because the waitlist isn’t a guarantee, I have to do some documents and other stuff on my checklist for my backup school. I have to take a lot of placement tests and pay a lot of fees when I’m not 100% sure if i’m going. And if I do get accepted, I wasted all the time and effort for my backup school. :frowning: Say goodbye to my saved college money… but I’d still go to Davis even if I commited all that time and effort on the backup school.

I feel your pain. Our son was waitlisted (Physics) and he has remarkably similar stats as your daughter:
4.33 GPA
1400 SAT
6 out of 650
10 APs
Tons of EC
Great essays (according to his AP teachers)

It is just a big black box. Last year over 80% of the waitlist was offered admission, so it gives us some hope. Our son accepted to an out of state school, but Davis was always his #1 choice.

This is our 3rd of 4 kids to go through it and it does not get an easier…

3rd phone call: some decisions have been released. All undergrad freshmen decisions should be released by the end of May. She doesn’t know the exact order in which they’re releasing the decisions. Now I’m even more confused

hey, so u mean the decisions for Davis came out? Then it means it is the 1st out of 2 waves.

wait what, then how did literally -2 people receive any news at all, and why didn’t they send an email like UCSC did notifying everyone of a first wave being sent out…

U know anyone got accepted?

Can you post the number you are calling @ndhi786

@davis262736 you won’t be able to call back until tomorrow tho (ends at 4 pm)

‭(530) 752-2971‬ Ext. 1 @davis262736

@cutiepie679 this is why I’m so confused!! They say they’ve released only a few people tho. But anyways they should’ve at least told us that they’ve started sending out decisions.

@hkiiim I don’t think it was a “wave” exactly. They notified a couple people. What I’m thinking is they have the list ranked and they’re not telling us. They probably accepted the students who were waitlisted bc the admissions office didn’t know if they were serious about attending Davis bc their grades were well above the avg

@ndhi786 but is it possible for that to be only a few ppl. there are still a ton of over qualified students that haven’t received their decisions yet which is hella confusing

I’m confused why some people were notified and others weren’t. And did they say they only notified a couple of people or did they say they released a wave? @ndhi786

Yeah I don’t think these people know what they’re talking about. You guys realize these are student workers giving out answers…
So maybe they released some decisions today; I doubt it was “a few”, unless they’re only accepting a few - like they did in 2015. In which case, most likely no one on this board will be accepted.

hey just checking but when u guys go to ur financial aid page for uc davis, does it say incomplete or
(i’m asking because apparently when it’s incomplete that could potentially mean that you’re in but dont take my word for it)

Yea, If there was some decision, then it is highly possible that they’re only accepting few students. Maybe under 10%

this is my dream school if i dont get accepted idk what im gonna do lol i lw thought i had this in the bag bc my sat score n gpa were way above the average but i guess not
