Sorry, I didn't ask about other acceptances. He did say the committe just finished up some applications and that I would get my waitlist email tomorrow. So maybe they will send other waitlists too.

Sorry I didn't ask... I was really nervous/exited.

i just called, he said my application is in committee right at this moment, and i could call tomorrow as early as 9:30 and he'd let me know my decision, so yes, acceptances will still be handed out i suppose.

I called his direct line, yes. I don't know what his status is with the committee, he looked up my name in his computer and said "your application is in committee, you can call me tomorrow some time after nine and i can give you the decision they made"

Here they are, sorry to everyone who's already seen them in the old thread:

I'm a nontraditional student. I have really weird stats. I actually dropped out of highschool my sophomore year, when I was 16 years old. I just turned 28 years old... If I get accepted I'm going to be the campus dinosaur (well, I do look younger than I am).

I took all my SAT's in 2005/2006. Here are the numbers:

Current School: a 2 year cc GPA: 4.0 (most rigorous courses offered at my CC) SAT I: 800V, 720M, 730W SAT II: 740-Physics, 740 Math Level 2, 790 Spanish w/ Listening, 780 Regular Spanish EC's: Just some math tutoring at my cc and I've worked full time for almost 10 years. On my EC sheet I listed a lot of hobbies and self-learning adventures. Rec's: Very good (but they are all from cc teachers... No famous people or legacy recs :-) Essays: If I get in, these will be my golden ticket. Writing comes to me much more naturally than math/science. But I am applying as a math major. I love math!! But I sucked at math when I was younger. My essay explaining that is a trip. lol Hooks: The fact that I'm 27 years old and I dropped out of highschool when I was 16 might work in my favor (I think my essays do a pretty good job of explaining everything in an enjoyable and engaging manner--I included one supplemental since I'm a nontraditional applicant. So much to say!).

I called his line originally, got the message the voicemail was full, was transferred to the admissions office, then the woman transferred me. should I still stay on the line? I'm afraid if I hang up and try to connect with him again that I'll get a busy signal

Wow, JohnM you are quite similar to me actually, I'm 28 as well. Except I didn't take any SAT IIs... I dropped out of college in the late '90s, but have gotten (nearly) straight A's since coming back to school (at Northwestern's SCS). I really enjoyed my essays, hopefully the committee does too. Good luck to both of us!
