@ lawlking and navymike: You’re both right. It all depends on your field and your own ambition but it isn’t everyone. I have a friend who does have some work experience, graduated and now makes 100k working for google. My gf goes to Art Center in Pasadena and one of her friends sold his automotive design to Mercedez Benz for $130,000. He was 17 @ that time. She also has a friend who dropped out because Sony offered them a big design position before they graduated. So it all depends on the type of person and what kind of drive you have to succeed.

Isn’t 40k a little low for an accountant? I was making 35k before and i was able to buy a brand new car when I was 20. That’s the reason I came back to school for a degree because like many of us, we hope to become the 1%. lol

If you guys checked the UCI Admissions Facebook page, it says that the first batch was just the honors transfer students, and that they released typically once a week—so hopefully there will still be a batch within the next few days since there were no releases for this week yet.

when my son or daughter applies to UC, if it is still existent, I’m going to have him/her put VAGUE attendance dates, course descriptions and all that under some alias…payback!

Guys, you cannot take your frustration out on high school students… I understand your positions because I am a transfer after all, but taking it out on 17-18 year olds isn’t the right direction for us. We cannot judge them because they are younger then us. Heck, we all had our chances when we were their age, but we didn’t/couldn’t get those GPA’s during that time of our lives (or etc for those with extraordinary circumstances.) They can definitely be judging us the same way! I encourage them, especially because i was a slacker in highschool.

Ha…they have until April 30 therefore they will post most of the decisions like April 29 with a couple more batches coming in the first week of May.

It’s been a rough week and I am starting to feel fidgety.
