Official UCI Transfer admittance Thread

so far nothing this week huh?

Is the message center not working for anyone? I can log onto my account but once I click message center i just get a completely white blank page.

The message center isn’t working for me either.

…here we go again…

For anybody wanting to argue that personal statements are used for admission purposes:

“Berkeley and UCLA are essentially the only two campuses that will look at the personal statement for transfer admission evaluation. But, all UCs look at the personal statement for scholarship award consideration.”

Taken from something Ms. Sun wrote over on another thread. See: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1304014-holistic-uc-admissions.html</a> post #6.

I’m not saying that they go unread, I’m just staying that unless you’re applying to Cal or UCLA, they aren’t going to help/hurt your chances of being accepted. They will, however, be used in scholarship awards. I hope this clears things up. :)

Uci is the other campus that reviews it for admission purposes. It says so on the UC website.

I’m pretty sure that this is false unless the other UCs are putting on a front. I know for a fact that it says on the UCSC website that they do a holistic review as well.

^I recently found out that UCSC started using holistic reviews, but nowhere did I see they were doing them for transfers, only freshman! If you look carefully on the website, they clearly state they are using them for freshman, but never mention use of the holistic process for the evaluation of transfer students. I did some investigating to confirm my suspicions and I could not find any information on holistic reviews of transfers for UCSC anywhere.

Well I know for a fact that as a military veteran transfer they review your essays at all the UC campuses. So if your a vet it def helps a lot

Estimated next batch for UCI?

I feel like UCI has to release a batch this coming week. It’s been way too quiet from them. and they have a lot of people waiting on decisions. I haven’t heard any acceptances from them since the 7th

I’m studying at the UCI Science library as we speak

I second nsws.

lets hope so nsws!

Do they usually send out transfer decisions around this time? I hear a lot of UC’s wait until April…

kjhfahf;ahofiuewaonofng

if nothing comes for me this week, I am going to have a serious meltdown…

^ You better get into a UC soon, I’m still waiting for your acceptance video(s).

its gonna be the mother of all videos.

ughhh. especially with NO pattern, I have no idea when the next batch will come. gonna go stalk to freshman and get a better idea.

i need some resolution from this all, all my UC’s are almost NEXT month

UCLA/UC Davis

UC Irvine & UC San Diego are being captain slow for the <3.5’ers

I think everyone is waiting for Kitty’s acceptance. Im calling Kitty Ms Sun 2.0 haha

^ hahah, thanks, i’ve learned a lot from everyone here.

from the looks of it, after tomorrow Irvine has 10 days to release decisions for a vast majority of transfers. Last year was March 29th and a lot of under 3.5’s were admitted.
