My name is Teny and I am a current undergraduate student at UNC-CH. I was a transfer student as well who transferred over last year as a sophomore. I would personally like to congratulate all those who have been accepted into UNC-CH for the fall 2012 session. I would like to encourage those who have already been accepted to join this facebook group if you need to connect with other transfer students or if you have any questions regarding your transition into the Carolina family https://www.facebook.com/groups/277139809036675/
It is run by a club called “Tar Heel Transfers”, which is an organization sponsored by Carolina in order to recognize the needs of transfer students and aid them in their assimilation into UNC-CH. The executive members of the clubs are active members of this fb groups and we will be glad to answer any of your questions and would not mind giving you any possible tips or hints that you might need.

Congratulation again and welcome to the Carolina family!

Yes, everyone gets that. Doesn’t mean anything specific; I think in the official letter it will say if there are any other classes you need. Honestly, that sort of worries me now, because my school is on a quarter system (3 quarters). We’re in 3rd quarter now, and I’m not taking any classes. Out of the country currently. So if they tell me there is a class I need, I’m sort of screwed…Nonetheless, I’m pretty sure I meet the minimum course requirements, so it should be fine. Worst case I could take any course I need over the summer or something.

College GPA: 3.77
