*Official UNC Fall 2010 Transfer Thread*

I found out that my application was withdrawn because i didn’t submit my residency forms. I called them about this when i applied they told me i could submit this later, i even asked them if i can fill it out depending on admission decision they said it was fine. I figured they don’t care about residency for transfer since that is what is specifically told on their website, but now they tell me they need it in order to even review my application . I’m just completely *ed right now, i now i have to quickly fill out all these forms send it by tomorrow, register for classes, and study for two exams tom. What a great day!!! … Also, i also found out when i checked on my portal else i wouldn’t have known about this… how convenient for them to tell me about this now indirectly two days before the decision. But i still love this school just not the admission dpt atm.

your tag says NC State University…is your residence out of state? I don’t know why they would need that

I’m at NCSU and i’m instate but i’m not a us citizen was born in India but working on my permanent residency and citizenship

@DABEARS
Not a joke. Pretty insane though. I’m a little excited/nervous haha.

@ sblogblah
Looks like you have a pretty long day ahead of you tomorrow. Good luck with all that

exactly 48 hours to go

Yay only 47hours and 45min left =)))

Between potty training a 3 year old with autism and waiting on Carolina to decide my fate, I think I might not survive the next 47.5 hours…

Good luck everyone!

To carolinamommy: I can’t understand why would you worry about the decision with your stats? :))
You should be preparing a party for this weekend :))
Good luck everyone!!

haha I love the cult-like following on this forum. Just gives you a feel for the comradery present among tarheels I guess.

Haha, we will all know about 20 people at UNC without actually knowing any of them!

My application never had a green dot. At one point I had a yellow triangle, then when it was complete the little triangle went away and nothing was in my To-Do list and it was like, “Thanks for submitting your application. Your decision is not yet available.”

Aww, man. That really sucks. :(

Aww thanks unctransfer, but 1) I’m old - 31 and 2) I don’t even remember what my GPA was in high school or with my AA but I know they aren’t great. My GPA at Kaplan was very good - but they are kind of, not all that revered since they are an online university.

And Chapel Hill is the only school I applied to since I live here in Chapel Hill and I can’t really travel with my little one in therapy 6 days a week.

I think that everyone here has some very impressive stats and if we all get in we should totally plan an college confidential message board party on Franklin street in the fall.

Meh. If I have nothing on my To-Do list and no notifications, I guess I’m in the clear. They haven’t said anything is wrong…yet. But if they do, I’m going to drive to UNC and take them whatever they need personally.

@ carolinamommy - 31 isn’t old.
I’m cool for the F.S. party, lol. But only if we go to Artichoke & Basil. :)

@CNUtoUNC - Haha! Yeah, my two best friends go to UNC and I already have a room being held for me if I get in. I’m going to visit them on Friday - hopefully I’m not rejected so I don’t spend the weekend bitterly enjoying the campus, lol.

Right after we win the ACC in football? ;)

@meilliem

Oh wow, I can’t think of anything worse/better than getting to go to UNC for the weekend depending on if I’m rejected/accepted haha

@xMastemah - I believe if there’s nothing on your To-Do list and it says that your application has been submitted, you’re fine. I had called back in February because I had the yellow triangle after I finished my application, but they said it was just because they hadn’t processed all of the forms yet.

@carolinamommy - Agreed, 31 isn’t old! My aunt is in her mid-fifties and just graduated from college last year. :)

Agree with above. I’d feel sick. Lol. :<

So melodramatic, but true.

does anyone know if admissions takes into account how many times you have visited/if you ever officially visited? to be honest i never did an official visit, i just had a friend show me around, and im kinda worried theyll consider that. smaller schools specifically ask if you visited, but i was jw if unc cares even though they dont ask
