Don’t feel like posting everything, but I’ll summarize.

Accepted. 2360 SAT. 800 SAT IIs for Math 2 and US History. GPA=4.0 unweighted. Rank 1/50. A few APs with 5s. I thought my essays were very interesting and unique, but difficult to self-evaluate. Teacher recs were good. White, Male, 1st gen. Was deferred from Yale EA.

Happy to be in! Let’s hope the 29th will bring more good news.

^Senorita, I hear you! Look at my post from earlier in the thread… I had a 3.86 UW and averaged a B every semester, landing me well outside of the top-10% of my class. Couple that with the overubandance of smart asian applicants and statistically… I was screwed :P

Seahawks, me too! My GPA was about a 3.87 … and my B’s were all in math (intended major is physics!). I was accepted EA with a merit scholarship - I’m so glad UChicago didn’t focus on my grade imperfections.
