I just had the email!! omg
does anyone know when the decision will come out?

It looks like a 2 wave release to me. If it was one wave, why do they have to disable the link on WA until ALL decisions have been released? Seems like they will disable it on the first round then enable it after the second round. Second round probably 21-23 and first is probably a few days earlier.

But hell who knows…? Either way, if this is your dream school, it will either make or break your christmas haha.

WA seem to be enabled still. Hope they will release the decisions this week.

They will probably start sometime this week.

I just talked to admissions, looks like they’re sticking to the Dec 17th date and “no later than 23”

She, for the record, was an incredibly rude person to speak with…probably a cranky student

i didnt get any email :(

I’m really excited but nervous too haha. I wish there was even less ambiguity in the notification process

goblue: the first email confirming that I was in the EA pool was sent to my spam folder, so check there

Agreed. Michigan is a fine institution and I hope I’m in that first wave!

@053100 nope, not there. strange bc the EA one went right through. maybe they are sending this our in waves too :/

I got an email
I’m in Michigan too, but i’m not sure if that makes a difference.

I am going to be awake this long weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekend

I am sure everyone here has received it but still…

Dear <applicant>,</applicant>

As we prepare to release Early Action decisions, we wanted to provide you with an important update regarding how you will receive your decision.

ALL admissions decisions will be sent via email from Michigan.Admissions@umich.edu with the subject line “Your University of Michigan Admissions Decision”. Please add this email address to your safe list so that your decision does not go to your junk or spam folder. We recognize the receipt of your admissions decision is an important event. We know it is a personal experience for each student and encourage you to open your email in privacy to ensure you are able to fully process your decision before sharing it with others. Decisions will be released to the email address you provided on your application. Students who have been admitted will also receive paper correspondence as well.

The application status link in the New & Prospective Student Portal on Wolverine Access will be unavailable until all decisions have been released via email. The system will be available again for students no later than December 23.

For more information, please review our Early Action Decisions page.

I didn’t get the email…

glad to hear im not the only one who didnt get it

when I first read it I thought it was a “preparation for rejection” email; “open your email in privacy to ensure you are able to fully process you decision” seemed a bit ominous, but I’m glad it was stock.

I got the email too. I’m not very excited yet, I don’t know why. Maybe its because I’m a worrier and I’m scared of doing premed at UMich. I think I’ll check my email once a day after school to see what’s up. I’ll probably check this forum more than anything else to see if anyone has posted a decision.

Sigh… I’m losing confidence as time goes…
Being an International sucks

@boramk
You are not alone; I am an international too. According to my Naviance scattergram I have a good standing but it is hard to retain hope.

:"She, for the record, was an incredibly rude person to speak with…probably a cranky student "

I would be cranky too if I had to deal with students and parents asking me the same question all day over the phone
