***Official University of Michigan Class of 2015 Decisions Thread***

If all the people listing as OOS above don’t get in or at least deffered, I am so screwed. My testing and GPA are horrid, but I have really awesome ECs and refferals, and I can freaking write you an essay, I just don’t know if it’s gonna be enough!

My GPA is fairly good, but not a 96. However, I am 10th in my class (putting me in the top 3 percent of my class). Would this be a helpful factor?

Lets hope that when u next receive an email its not going to be another one that hypes us up and is only a “get read” email. I could see them releasing an email on the 22 (get ready tomorrow we will release decisions kind of thing) *sorry umich don’t mean to make it into a joke but the anxiety is eating at me!

yeh being top 3% would help alot. Keep it up!

Honestly, you guys are freaking me out. Just stop haha. You will all be okay. You’re all very qualified and if it’s not Michigan then it will be somewhere else that is great. I’m anxious too but have some perspective and don’t worry so much when it’s all out of your control.

Am I the only one confident in myself that is OOS? I have a 3.78 unweighted GPA and 33 ACT, good EC’s, recs, and essays. I sure as hell hope I get in.

I’m more or less just concerned with this vague “oh, any day now” attitude they have, why not pick a date and stick to it?

Yeh I think everyone is a little annoyed by it. Oh well If I get in the wait will have been worth it!

Every school has determined a set date to notify the applicants, even Columbia who just switched to the Common App. I don’t see why UMich can’t do the same.

i feel like they are getting a kick out of reading this forum

I am glad I am not alone in this! Anyone else who is applying to U of M at my school hasn’t even applied yet!

@omgmom:

@sndenm is correct. The information I am referring to is accessible through a “friend account” and not through the applicant’s account.

Since some parents are able to access their student’s information on the “My Student’s Center” page of WA and some are not, I don’t know what to make of this discovery. I would like to think that it is a clue, but who knows? Perhaps @omgmit is correct and it is a programming error. I thought it might be interesting to see how many other parents are able to view their student’s information as well. Thank you to those of you who have checked.

If all else fails though, I honestly just don’t want to wait till after Monday. They’ll have had my completed application for exactly 3 months at that point, and that’s a ridiculous wait period.

i’d just really like to know asap since michigans decision basically determines whether i do more applications or not

^Same with me

If I get into Mich, I’m applying to all reaches because I love Mich and would have no problems going there if I got rejected everywhere else.

@bear1993, same for me. it’s my first choice and i’m 100% sure that if am admitted and get financial aid i’ll be attending

I’m at the point where I don’t care about fin aid, i’ll make it work however if I get in!

Yeah, I think doing some HW just now helped keep my mind off of things for a little while. I am crossing my fingers for 12/16 (which is today now, lol) or 12/17.

lrose, I almost feel the exact same way.

I’m sure that if I do get in, it’ll be a more pressing matter, but initially, I so don’t care. lol.
