***Official University of Michigan Class of 2015 Decisions Thread***

Fsck this U;m going to sleep. 2:30AM

^That could possibly be a good thing. Being constantly alerted via vibrations in class is very distracting. I get a baby heart attack every time my phone vibrates now, thinking it’s from UMich.

i dont wanna check during school
if i get deferred im gonna be in such a bad mood
at least at home i can eat icecream and watch comedy

but mann i wanna know my decision!

Talked to someone in their admission office near the end of the day. I tried to ask some of the burning questions we’ve been having all day. Here’s what I got:
-All admits, defers, and denies are being sent via email. After they all go out Wolverine Access view decision links will be brought back up, probably around December 23 but maybe sooner.
-Almost all of the decisions sent today were to in state students. There may have been some defers and a small number of admissions that went to non-michigan students though. She couldn’t explain to who or why.
-There were some denies sent.
-They’re supposed to start sending out non-michigan decisions tomorrow (or at least the rest of them).
-There’s no particular order to how the emails go out. An EA application turned in on November 1 could hear before one turned in on September 1. It’s not by name, birthdate, umid number or anything.
Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. Good luck everyone!

About 10 people from LI got deferred. I’m freaking out right now.

Are there any confirmed denials, or just deferrals?

deniessssssssss??? holy crap

Here is the acceptance email

CONGRATULATIONS (Name)—You’re IN!

You’ve been admitted to the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts for Fall 2011!

How does it feel to be a Wolverine?

Your official letter of admission is on its way. Check out this link, [Welcome to LS&A](http://www.admissions.umich.edu/welcome/lsa), for a special message, and congratulations on your admission to one of the most superb universities in the world!

“has anyone on this forum, IS or OOS, been accepted into nursing yet? i dont think ive seen anyone yet but i could be wrong.”

Yes, a classmate of my son was accepted today to nursing (in-state). I don’t know his stats, however.

thank youuuu michmom07(: just wondering.

question: my app status is still available on wolverine access…what does this mean?

my status is still available too. Im guessing the OOS who haven’t received their decisions are still able to view their WA status

hey guys i got a question about what percent of apps from u mich are defers and what percent of those normally get in i thought that if u were defer and u just didnt fail yur mid years then u were in is that true???

Oh man. People with better stats than mine and in state getting rejected? I’m toast. The only ‘hook’ I have is legacy. And that’s only considered a minor plus.

thank you danloeb! I shall rest easy now for tonight, knowing my Michigan decision won’t be sent until at least tomorrow. I have so much studying to do! Good luck to everyone!

@gopadub

No, I don’t think that’s true. I haven’t been able to find percentages, but a good mid-year report, especially considering the competitiveness to get in this year, does not guarantee your deferral status will become an accept come April. There’s definitely deferred people with decent midyears that get rejected.

NJGuy93…D1 is in-state and accepted, and her Application Status link is still up and running. It just hasn’t changed from what it’s always shown. There is no new link anywhere to show she was accepted. I guess nothing will change on the WA page until after all the decision e-mails have been sent out…by the 23rd I suppose?

The email said the online wolverine access will be off until decisions have been made, but I can still access mine. It seems others have this situation as well. What does this mean? Did they not receive everything or the decision isn’t made?

Note the grammatical error in the umich email:

Shouldn’t it say, "CONGRATULATIONS, [name]?
