@wolverine86 hmm, i guess you’re right. But i’m not surprised considering all of the other things that umich keeps contradicting itself on.

just looked back and saw the video in the email. I got chills! this is so cool.

i was going to call in today to withdraw due to the fact that i just regained my voice after having been nastily sick and just confirmed my admission. i have now called in and withdrawn my app and apologized for the delay and error. i understand that it wasn’t the best way to go about things, however outside circumstances prevented me from doing it as soon as possible. i’m sorry if you find this offensive, but not everything happens in picture perfect order. if i could have done it differently, i would.

RonPaul12, I have only heard about people who got deferred, no rejections yet. Right now, I’m just waiting for tomorrow, when we are supposedly going to hear.

My son’s WA is still active as well, no application status decision there. He did not get an email today. Other son 3 years ago got deferred, I recommend if this happens to you, you should send them extra material & info, more recommendations, stuff that shows how wonderful you are, etc.; my older son just waited, did fine with mid-year grades but ended up getting rejected in April. Looking back, wish we would have sent more info and let them know how interested he was.

Good Extracurriculars/essays

Are there any more emails today? Anything after 5pm?

How did you hear? im in NC and havent heard anything, also, no update on the Michigan status

What counts as early afternoon? Also, does anyone know what a 96 is on a 4.0 scale?

i think decisions were first released around 11-1 and continued until like 4,? im not sure though

** For those of you who got deferred, send in another rec letter and say that Umich is your #1 choice; my friend said that he would do Summer Bridge if they reconsidered, and he got in. **

I live in Michigan and got an email around 3:30

what do your applications status’ read?

@superexcited: A 96 GPA is roughly 3.85 on a 4.0 scale (however, each school calculates GPA differently)
