I’ve played guitar in a band since 8th grade

I’ve had a couple jobs throughout high school, nothing engineering-y though

Executive Board Member of Healthy Community Healthy Youth, we do lots of stuff around town, me and one other student are student liaisons between the highschool and this committee.

I think my essays are good but who knows

I’m sure all emails have been sent out for today. Tomorrow they should start again around 11

Decision: ACCEPTED

ACCEPTED!!

College: LSA
GPA: 3.9
ACT: 33
In-State

WOO!! :)

“what about out of state? /:”

@dancer7: Very realistic chances, but I wouldn’t say “excellent”, since you are OOS.

Ugh, I have a 28 ACT. OOS. No way, I am getting in. I might as well not even open the email when I get it.

Ryan what is your GPA/courseload? I feel that will hold much greater weight than SAT/ACT alone.

My UW GPA is around 3.7, bad freshman year got all A’s last year, luckily. I took 5 AP classes last year(AP Bio, AP US His online, AP English Lang, AP Macro, AP Gov). All Honors and AP courses this year, including AP Chem, AP Calc AB, and AP English Lit. Also taking online courses, and Latin IV, Honors Physics. I am president of my drama club, and have been an officer 3 years running. President of Latin Club, member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Science Olympiad. 10th out of about 340 in my class (top 2 percent).

So basically you know you have a chance. Probably a better chance than I do. Stop freaking out.

yeah, I know, I just feel weak. Especially seeing these IS defer stats. I just need to stop psyching myself out. I think my essays showed that I was an interesting person with a good point of view. Hopefully they will catch on.

yeah it makes sense that decision emails are released during the office hours of the undergraduate admissions. im OOS, and honestly i’m happy to wait another day until my fate is sealed because it seems like a great majority of OOSers that have heard back today have been rejected.

Is GPA considered within context of courseload?

I have a 3.71 UW, but between my sophomore and junior year, I took 7 AP courses. Aside from the APs, I’ve only taken honors except gym and other silly required freshman year classes.

** deferred

Guys this isn’t a chances thread. Post your stats elsewhere and keep this thread on topic.
