Really glad I don’t have school tomorrow. In central time too so I won’t have to wait too long after I wake up hopefully.

I have two finals tomorrow, and instead of studying for them today I have been checking this thread and my email.

I’m screwed on my finals, but if I get into Michigan tomorrow I think I’ll survive.

americanslang, GPA is absolutely considered in the context of your courseload, and course rigor is a must. You’ve challenged yourself…

I got in with a 25 ACT! :D

^IS? 10char

hey guys i was defered OOS 28 ACT 1830 SAT 3.7 gpa
extra currics best in city 9 started companies, and first business club in my school district, have 10th highest volunntering hours in city, play varisty tennis)
everythign else was perfect ( showed essays to 30 people 5 of which were from Umich and like 2 umich counclers/teachers. and some OSU teachers) Recs were also amazing ( i got major to write about my volunnteering and leadership, and my stats teacher story write about my when i was in that senior class forsh year)
I have written a 5000 word thesis about 25 pages on technical analysis vs fundamental in picking stocks… ( i prolly should show it to the U mich people)
U MICH ross is my numbha 1 pick!!! lol

tell you the truth i cried for like 3 hrs… cuz i dont think any defered people get selected cuz i orginally thought that hey if u are defered they want to see if arent failing yur senior year, but i guess its a lot more than that… i dont even really know and prolly only like 10% of defered of students get in RD i am not sure please correct me if i am wrong i would love it lol but no really i felt like the wind got punched right out of me… I just loved Ross soo much… Good luck all!! and If u were accpeted i hope i feel yur happiness soon but right now i feel suicidal a little… agian Good luck all an again congratz to all people who got accepted

Gopadub you’ve got the credentials to get into plenty of great schools, life will go on if you aren’t excepted RD. I’m in the same spot as you; I was rejected from BC today and I can’t see myself getting into Mich LSA tomorrow… I’ve only taken 1 Honor and 1 AP in 4 years. (Banking on my 2100 SAT here…) Got into Tulane but I don’t particularly want to go there. Life will go on.

yea i got into Indiana but i dont wanna go there my other options arer OSU, and Penns tate still waiting on them but i mean umich was like the school i wanted to go to since prolly 6th grade… it just feels like i have failed all the networking etc. i dont know how the deferd process works so i dk man gl to u though

hey gopadub, there is no reason you should be so hard on yourself. I’m in the exact same position as you. I’m into Kelley at IU as my backup and i’m still waiting on Michigan. Just because you got deferred doesen’t mean that you wont get in. It just means that they want to make sure that you are still doing well in school. So keep your grades up and you still have a good chance.

Do you guys here mean that the result of EA has come out??? I haven’t received any e-mails till now!

^mostly in state has come out, tmrw will be oos

Results for in state students only have come out, with the rare exceptions.

yea i am a rare exception lol OOS OH…IO … unless i get into UMich by a miricle then Go Blue!!!

Will Michigan this year admit more students? I hope I can get in with SAT 2100. I just got defered by Duke so I really hope this time I can receive an offer.

god I hope they do not admit more students (in fact they’ve said they are cutting down the number of admits). The busses are over packed as it is

karry dont worry ull prolly get in GL … and My mid year is IB diploma and 3.7 prolly it didnt go up or down soo i prolly wont get accepted i only have like 1 week to change somehting… again Best of luck to All !

and i feel that all people that should have gotten rejected got deferred becuase nobody got rejected… that means that they prolly have like 30% of the slots left??? is that right?

@ NJGuy93

Nope im instate… those are my initials. Should’ve listed that in my original post sorry.

To: gopadub

I don’t think that 30% is right. About half the apps were EA, and the odds of admission from EA and RD are supposed to be the same. Since lots of EAs are defrred, I would say that more than 50% of the spots are still open.

when do you find out about pre-admit programs?
if you applied EA, will the decision come with the pre-admit decision?
