Thanks for the info. I guess they started reviewing our file recently.

Anyone know how housing works for transfers? I know a lot end up in the Northwood apartments and I seriously want to avoid that.

OOS applicant here. Recently received confirmation that all my application materials have been received.

Have admission decisions been steadily mailed since the application deadline?

How do they mark your application as complete? Does it show on Wolverine Access somewhere? Or do you mean it’s complete because all application materials have been marked as received for you?

@Mgodrum Congratulations! Since you were accepted so quickly, I think you will be able to avoid Northwood.

yes and yes. It’s in the ‘application status.’

Phew! Should be good then, thanks.

When can we expect financial aid information.

I transferred to here as sophomore last year. When I received my acceptance (I think early April), I was able to choose housing in Bursley. But I heard from a friend that only Northwood is left

sophomore transfer here. STATS

currently a freshman at a top 40 institution in the US. Applying to LSA
SAT CR+M 1430
ACT 31
SAT2 MATH level II 800
IELTS 8.5

College GPA 4.0 thus far (19 credit 1st semester, 20 credits in progress)
HS GPA 3.85 ish UW salutatorian/graduation speaker. My HS doesn’t offer AP/Honor Classes, and most students go to community colleges. In other words the academics are weak.

Dean’s list fall 2013
a few leadership roles in HS. average Ec’s in college

Two college instructor evals.

I am pretty much expecting a rejection, as the number of credits matters greatly T.T

My application was complete on Feb 27

For comparison, Otemachi, I applied a few years back with 16 completed credits (and 17 in progress) and a ~3.4 GPA from a top 20 LAC. My test scores were very slightly higher than yours, though my high school courses were more rigorous. I hope I’m not raising your hopes unnecessarily, but I was accepted, so I think you stand a chance.

Thanks, Finnlet. I feel like my GPA and test scores are really just sort of on par with U-M’s standard. Nothing really makes me stand out, maybe except for my 8.5 IELTS score (2 score bands above the U-M’s English proficiency requirement of 6.5 (I’m an international student)). After viewing the application evaluation sheet on the admissions website, I think I will most likely receive a rejection.

Guys, in your Wolverine Access, does it say that your application is complete or incomplete anywhere? Mine doesn’t say my application is complete or incomplete, but when I called the Admissions office I was told it was complete.

At least for mine it doesn’t say complete or incomplete anywhere, just the received materials and stuff. I also called the admissions office and they told me that had all the materials but mine wasn’t marked as complete. Lucky you!

Anyway, I wouldn’t worry about it if they told you they had marked it as complete.

If they had all materials why wasn’t yours marked as complete? It should be, right

Yeah, I’d think so. I’m not sure how the admissions office sorts through their applications. You might as well get your decision before I do. They did tell me to call back in a few days to check if it was complete.

Oh ok. I think we’ll all find out by early April. Good luck!

When is the period that the decisions for most transfer applicants will be released? Patiently waiting for a decision here.

I’ve just been accepted. Yay.

Congratulations! When was your application complete? @Prospects80

Thanks!

15-30 minutes into February 2nd… haha. I’m surprised they got to it so early.
