Official University of Michigan Transfer Thread for Fall 2015

@minatoelric Oh man, I see. My stats are similar except slightly lower ACT (31) (but better GPA), and my College GPA is 3.89, hopefully I can bump it up a bit with my next term of classes. With that being said, I know someone with significantly lower college stats, and he still got in; I think the primary difference lies in IS vs OOS, but I could be wrong.

“Michigan didn’t. They got my transcript so late and never told me, they got it on March 24, over a month and a half after the application was due. You gotta fedex it to them early, most community colleges aren’t used to sending them and most schools just don’t get them. Really annoying.”

I’m assuming this is an issue exclusive to OOS CC’s, or do you know other IS students who had the same issues? Seems quite peculiar that a college would have trouble sending and receiving transcripts.

@USDON105 yeah OOS CC’s i feel, at least with mine. What i eventually had to do was send the official transcript to myself and fedex it to michigan and all my other schools because my CC would only send to in-state. It would SAY they sent to other schools, but the OOS universities would never get them. EXTREMELY annoying. But there’s a system in place for in-state things so if you’re in-state for michigan, i’m highly confident you’ll get in.

Would I have a chance?
