General Comments/Congratulations/etc:

I feel really fortunate to have been accepted. I know many more qualified applicants who have either been deferred or rejected, including a classmate of mine. I know he worked extremely hard during the entire process, and I really wish both of us could have made it.

Overall, I think my marks/scores weren’t stellar, so the only reason I got in was probably because of my essays (which honestly weren’t that well written), my interview, and a whole lot of luck.

Best of luck in the regular round everyone.

Congratulations to all who got in! I’m actually in Philly right now! When I found out I got in, one of my friends immediately picked me up and we took a drive down to PA! I’m so excited! It’s wonderful down here! To all those who were deferred/rejected: it’s really okay! I feel a little guilty because I know that there are a bunch of you out there who didn’t get in and are honestly better candidates than I am. This process is SO random and you can’t judge your worth or academic/extracurricular talent based on your Penn decision.
To those deferred: you still might end up here next year! I wish you the best of luck!
To those rejected: I feel completely confident that you will find someplace that you end up LOVING and you will get in… whether you think you love that place now or not. Keep your hope guys! The fact that you applied to Penn alone signals that you are driven and talented! I really wish you guys the best of luck. I know that SO easily I could have been in your position right now.
