Lol AP scores are definitely a factor. If you took a course and scored 98%, but ended up with a 3 on the exam (or chose not to report), what does that show about your marks? That they’re very inflated.

Scoring well on AP exams prove that you are ready for college. You should always strive for 5s on AP exams.

@Wharton18 Hi! I’m an international applicant looking to apply to the Huntsman Program. I actually talked to another Wharton 2018 student who graduated from my high school last year and I was really curious about the Huntsman Program. I saw stats around the internet that said Huntsman was even more competitive than just Wharton.
I am a native bilingual speaker and have a third language, started my fourth. But GPA-wise I’m not one of those stellar, “out of this earth” applicants, though I have appropriate ECs and leadership positions, and SAT stats.

I just wanted to ask you what the Huntsman environment is like, what kind of people, like backgrounds, languages, international/citizen/permanent res., and scholarship/grant recipients are in the Huntsman Program. I would be extremely grateful just to know every tiny detail about the Huntsman Program at the moment, because Huntsman is really all I obsess about nowadays.

Thank you so much!
There’s really nothing better than to hear from someone who actually knows first-hand Wharton/Penn.

Lol they are a factor at the schools that REQUEST THEM. Does Penn request them? No. So sending in your AP scores before you get accepted doesn’t mean anything to them. Remember the school that this forum is about buddy…if you go to Penn’s website it strictly talks about matriculating students when talking about AP/IB/A-Levels, therefore ones that got accepted. I get it that UC’s and other schools require that you send them but Penn does not.

I applied early decision and I sent my SAT and ACT scores about a week before I sent in my application. When I was first given my Penn Portal login information, my standardized test scores were listed as received under my profile with the test dates I sent them. Now when I just logged on, neither my SAT nor ACT scores appear on my profile and I have no standardized test scores listed on my portal. Should I be concerned?

My SAT score history also disappeared from my Penn Portal account. Are metsfan27 and I the only people facing this issue or have other people’s scores disappeared too?

All official results are released at the same time. However, some people get “likely” letters which essentially notify them beforehand that they have been accepted.

Hey guys! Im pretty knew to this whole collegeconfidential thing! I just got my interview for Penn ED. It was amazing! I had soooo much fun! Like seriously even alumnis are able to convince you and show you how amazing UPenn is! By far my favorite university!!!

I will post later my stats so u guyz can tell me if I stand any chances! I am an international student from france!

@figuresk8ter07 - Some of the more selective colleges send out “likely letters” or “early writes” notifying applicants that they will be accepted officially when decisions come out. They send letters to candidates they are very interested in. The majority of applicants do not receive them. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone could just request one!
