UC applications are definitely keeping me busy!

Yup, other college applications and schoolwork are keeping me quite busy

Just as I thought I wasn’t getting an interview, I got notice of one TONIGHT about an interview that will happen TONIGHT. I was pretty sad that I didn’t get one, and then it appeared out of nowhere. Can’t believe it came this late!

I don’t think it has been confirmed that the date is 15th. Penn will probably post the exact date on the applicant homepage or on everyone’s portal when they have determined when they will release decisions.

Just had my interview tonight. So easy! My interviewer said the interview basically means nothing though. According to him it’s only for applicants to learn more about Penn through the interviewer’s experiences. Be prepared for questions like “What inspires you inside and outside of the classroom?” “What do you do in your free time when you have absolutely nothing to do” “Why are you applying to (Wharton, CAS, SEAS, Nursing), and what job/field do you expect to apply that degree to?”

Good luck guys. 21 days!!! (What’s 9+10??)

On my Penn portal the early decison agreement and the fee waiver disappeared. Did that happen to you guys too? Lol I feel like we are all looking too much into everything haha but it’s so hard to not go crazy over this!!!

This is strange cuz the early decision agreement never appeared on my portal… I thought the portal won’t mention anything about the ED agreement…

Yep, the ed agreement disappeared

I was sooooo worried, it went incredible though. The guy loved me, lol.

My ED Agreement disappeared as well.

Was it an email or an actual letter in the mail? What did it say? Is it only Wharton applicants that got them?

I never see the ED Agreement on the portal…

Question - on the portal, it doesn’t show any sign that I submitted a supplemental rec, even though I did. Should I be concerned? She submitted it through commonapp so it should be there.

yep, the ed agreement used to be in the portal but now it isn’t, for whatever reason…
@antsyapplicant nah the supplemental rec isn’t required, so it probably won’t show up in the portal. since it’s optional they probably won’t bother creating a part of the portal just to list whether or not you have one :P

Getting an interview doesn’t mean anything. The second your application is completed your name goes out to the alumni interview committee, if there is one in your area. Nobody has even looked at the application at that point. Penn ’ s goal is to interview 100% of applicants.

Does anyone know when we find about financial aid if we are accepted?

@desie1 Getting an interview may not have anything to do with your chance of getting accepted, but you can definitely use the opportunity to your advantage i.e. explaining your interests outside of academics, adding activities that you are currently involved in to your applicant profile, and learning about interesting programs and professors from the alumni. I really enjoyed my interview and I think its a pretty fun, casual experience once you get past the nervous jitters.

Can someone please chance me. Thanks!

First off, I’m an international student who needs financial aid and applied ED.
Applied to SEAS

Interview went really well. He said that I was so different from the typical Asians
I speak 5 languages.
My SAT scores are pretty bad but i could only take them once (financial constraint and lack of time)

Thank you!

@Vinsin Our opinion doesn’t matter… the admissions office make decision not us. That being said, if you really want my opinion, unfortunately it seems your SAT scores and GPA are low for Penn. Your SAT scores are not even in the 25th percentile of admitted students at Penn. On top of that it seems you will be needing a full ride which is a pretty big disadvantage. I’m sorry to say this but it seems your chances are very slim. The languages and the cricket is quite impressive though.

Hey guys, I had my interview about a week and a half ago. Is there any way to make sure that our interviewer submitted their evaluation? I thought we were supposed to receive a post-interview survey or something, and that would indicate that the evaluation was completed.
