By the way, I called the admissions office about sending in the financial aid documents by November 3rd. @Kognition was totally right… Sending the forms by that deadline only mattered if you wanted to find out the financial aid offer they are giving you along with your decision on December 15th. If you send the forms in later, it just means you are informed of the aid they are giving you later. I’m pretty sure the only people who have gotten that missing documents email in the past have been people who have not submitted by the February 2nd deadline or later for RD applicants.

Anyway, I clarified on the phone that the PFAS forms are totally separate from the documents that the admissions officers see (at least if you aren’t international, I think). Stop worrying that these emails mean anything! It’s just spreading around the stress, haha. Like I believe @Kognition said, I think the admissions officers at UPenn would be professional enough to know when they are hinting at acceptance.

The only thing that will tell whether you are accepted, deferred, or rejected is that decision that comes up on the portal on December 15th, so let’s just try to make this a happy environment and wait out the five days.

Whoever is insinuating that it is easier to get in to Penn through Questbridge I point you to the fact that ONLY 45 FINALISTS WERE MATCHED thats opposed to the close to 1000 that Penn accepts Early Decision… You have a much higher chance of getting in ED moreover on my visit I asked how they sort through the Questbridge apps, its true they have a separate committee that looks over the apps (hence earlier notification) but you have to make it through the first read with the entire ED applicant pool… Test scores are not everything (#4 on list of importance according to adcom rep), and it pisses me off that some of you say Penn is lowering their standards to seem more diverse.

Hey, I’m an international applicant and I submitted the online css profile, but I didn’t receive any financial aid related email. Is this normal or should I call them up? Thank you!
