Are you sure it was women leaders? I wouldn't know what women leader would go with abolitionist.

harriet beacher stowe and sojourner truth

Transcendetalism is definitely wrong though... there was no women suffrage or even abolition

Someone check the validity of my big post

kibitzer can you elaborate on the question and answers to your numbers 3 and 4
i dont remember clearly what they were, i might be able to help

Most of yours are right Jose1. I think the Suez was Eisenhower, but I could be wrong. I think the Continental Congress one was not the Sugar Act though, and the Tammany Hall cartoon I said was immigration reform (the Greek slave? and the "go back to the mother country" stuff?) The rest were the same, but I didn't answer the Mexican revolution one.

Question 3 was something about labor unions. It said something about labor union policies and actions in a certain time period. The options were:

I. Unions sometimes joined with other groups to promote certain issues.
II. Unions were in dispute on how to organize unskilled labor.
III. Unions had trouble mantaining membership.

Question 4 was what was our response to mexican revolution.
I. Ban immigration from Mexico.
II. Send an expeditionary force in.
III. Send warships in.
IV. Declare war.

Along with the unions, what was the one that said "which of these doesn't describes the late 1940's." There was peaceful labor relations, suburban moving, and something else that I forget.

Also, what was the trend between 1945 and 1970 economically. I said that it was women leaving jobs.

And the 1970's economic question. Was that stagflation?

for #3 labor stuff: i put I , II, III
for #4 mexican rev: i put I, II, III
not in late 1940's: peaceful labor relations
1945-1970: remember any other answers? ( i dont think it is women's returning, they actually started increasing in jobs )
1970's : hmm i think it was stagflation, too. but was the direct asnwer 'stagflation' wasn't like 'high unemployment, and something'

For the 1945 - 1970, I think the options were:

incredible inflation
women leaving jobs(I thought they had to get after postwar need)
Military industrial complex(probable)

I forget the other two.

High unemployment and inflation for the 70's. I didn't say it was women leaving jobs (initially, after WWII, yes, the period was 1945 to 1970, but then there was a return to the labor force I think)...so I put down one of the other choices, C) I think, which was an increase in the military and industrial complex or sector or something for economics. Cold War build-up.

yup the 1945-1970 i put military because of cold war

was the 1970's one with high unemployemtn and inflation letter A?

common sense was independence ? (there was an answer about federalism)

the question about the alien sedition acts (which did not happen): i forget the answers... one of the ones that i wasnt sure of was John Adams vetoing it.. i forget the other one that i wasnt sure of.. (there were choices that were definitely consequences of alien sedition acts)

o god... stupid me: i thougt the stamp act produced the first CC, but i just foudn out that it produced the stamp act congress
sorry kibitzer you are right; it is the intolerable acts that initiated the first CC

So where does 10 wrong put me at?

770.......

Ok, so I have a problem

I took the USH test in October but didn't study and consequently didn't get the score i wanted.

I re-took it today and I think i made some dumb mistakes, even though I studied.

My problem is, I don't want to get a horrible score so that colleges think I studied and STILL didn't improve.

I think I might have missed 10-15

Should I cancel my scores?

no thats a pretty good score
probably 750-780

so far ive counted 5 wrong and 2 omit

Lets see, so far I got these wrong.

10 percent of black people, I put Booker T.
Common theme among progressive movement, I put transcendentalism.
1945 - 1970 economy, I put women leaving the workforce.
Hamilton + Jefferson I put disagreed with judiciary review.
Labor I,II,III thing probably got wrong.
Mexican Revolution I,II,III,IV probably got wrong.
What the first continental congress was for.
Stepehn Douglas and Popular Sovereignty

Three more questions I have.

Which quality made Jackson a non common man? I put his life as a plantation owner, I think.

What did the constitution grant to the people. I said election of two houses of congress.

What did Jamestwon spark? I said colonization over next 100 years, but it might have been rapid, wasn't sure.

Ten wrong still gets you a 770? Whoa, is that a good curve? I've never taken an SAT II with that cushy a curve.

i put the way he treated eaton..(95 % sure its right)

i put executive (don ppl vote for the president directly?) i know congress is wrong bcause senators aren't directly selected before. but did it say congress or legislature?

i put voer the next 100 years

so far 5 wrong 0 omitted...i am guessing around 10-15 wrong...

Which of the following leaders is paired incorrectly with his organization? or sumthing like taht:

I put Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow something

Also, from 1820's onwards state and federal governments consistently did what?

I said fund weak parts of the economy
