*******OFFICIAL USC Class of 2019 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@fahimi1351‌ Yes. NorCal is in the 1-day range from SoCal, so I should’ve received my package on Saturday, but I received my trustee package today.

May I ask where in Texas?

I’m really a technorube so I doubt I would be able to fill out that whole detailed questionnaire on Stats-but I can tell you he had: ACT 34 SAT 2 math 2 800 U.S. history 750 Physics 750 GPA weighted 4.48 UW 3.98 12 AP classes AP tests mostly 5’s. For his EC’s he was on 2 varsity sports-not a recruited athlete-many many hours deeply involved with sports for special needs children, NHS, Key Club and started his own charity. He was never President of a club or captain of a school team. Not a NMF. Mom and Dad both graduated from USC. Not applying for financial aid. His essays were good-he is more of a math type so we are not talking poetry here-and I’m sure his red letters were really good as the teachers asked to write them for him.

It seems as if no one who applied to Annenberg has received a packet yet. Maybe that means there is still hope for me

Thank you @Xmamma‌ ! Clearly your daughter has the numbers to get into UChicago, so I hope you get good news as well,

Part of me wishes I had never found this site because if I hadn’t I would still be blissfully unaware and a lot less anxious! But I would also be a lot less informed…it’s a blessing and a curse!

@katcon I feel your pain

Hey everyone! I just got my acceptance letter today and I’ll post my stats on the result page.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1732517-fall-2015-class-of-2019-usc-decisions-stats-only-thread-p2.html

Good luck to everyone!

I received admittance today to Roski as a Presidential finalist. Non NMF. Im in CA bay area.

@katcon‌ aren’t you rural? If so, I’m in the same situation, not sure how I feel about it lol. It’s nice to think that I may have a couple extra days for the mail to catch up to me, but seeing everyone else in all these big cities makes me feel a bit uneasy.
I was talking to my mom today, and it was pretty funny - she was talking about how in her day, an acceptance would show up unannounced one day in her mailbox. Nowadays, I know the 3 day span in which it might arrive, the color of the envelope, and heck, what most of the stuff is inside the envelope, before it has even gotten to my state

Recommendations (rating 1-10, details): 9? Both of my teachers are really kind and empathetic. I worked hard in both classes and made a personal connection with both of them!

Recs: Waived FERPA. But every recommender of mine knows me extremely well. The one from my dance teacher was apparently phenomenal.

Other
Applied for Financial Aid? No

Reflection
Strengths: Leadership, Extracurricular Activities, Well-rounded student, Common App essay, Probably Recs
Weaknesses: SAT scores
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Probably my essays and ECs. They were quite different.
Where else you are applying or have already applied: Brown, Barnard, Pitzer, NYU Gallatin, Haverford, UVA, UMich Ann Arbor, UCB, UCLA,
Indiana Bloomington and Rutgers- Accepted

When did you receive package in India and how was it received? I am from Ahmedabad and waiting for some good news eagerly. I have 2300 SAT, 800 Math2, 790 Bio M and Chem, 116 TOEFL.

@StevenToCollege‌ , my son got that yesterday, too. I almost tossed it out as junk mail (in the excitement of getting the big yellow packet,) But it seems legit and a very big deal Congrats. No money, from what I can tell, but a big honor and possibly an expense-paid trip to D,C,

@emhelm13‌ , My son is a legacy ( 36 ACT/2370 SAT) and he got invited to interview for Trustee. That said, I do think it is tougher for legacy applicants to get the big scholarship offers because they know you’re likely to go to USC anyway. (My other 2 sons both had 34 on the ACT and 2270 on the SAT and did not get the early package, though second son got a NMF presidential.) I’m not sure what to tell you about friends with lower stats getting theirs. But hang in there! With your score and legacy status, you are very likely ro get accepted in March. Fight on!

@ARandomGeek‌ yes, I’m in a rural area too. It’s unsettling but also comforting because it’s the source of my last little bit of hope. Fingers crossed!

@arjunn11 Is there an additional link under “Visit USC” for the explore USC information?

My question still comes down to: if you applied by Dec 1 and do not get a packet this week, do you still get any early notification of whether you’re accepted, denied, or deferred? Or do you have to wait until end of March? It’s tough to think that if you made the effort to apply by Dec 1 that you might not hear anything until end of March. Any thoughts? Thanks. And congrats to all those who’ve relayed good news here. That’s amazing!

@lovehawaii5 you will get a letter this week letting you know that you are still in the pool of applicants who will receive their final decision by April 1.
