*******USC Class of 2020 Results/Discussion Thread**********

Starting this thread. Good luck everyone

Waiting is hella rough and I hate it. I also hate investing so much hope into a college that’s probably out of my league to begin with, but who knows.

When do decisions come out?

Last year merit scholarship results were mailed out on 1/23/15. So all Trustee and presidential scholarship will be known by then.

everyone else has to wait until 4/1

Did anyone else who applied to Viterbi get sent the magazine?

Yes. My DD got it. Don’t think it means anything.

Yes we got the magazine as well

I got a really big packet on financial aid in the mail the other day. I wish college mail actually meant something for once.

Is anyone submitting theirs by 1/15, the regular decision deadline?

Submitted mine just for fun! I know I’m never gonna go here but I had a fee waiver so…at least I didn’t pay for the rejection

I know it says on their website that the January SAT might not make it in time for review, but I am really hoping it does. I was sick when I took my one and only ACT and it wasn’t a great score, I sent it before I saw it. This is my top choice.

Good luck everyone, the wait is killing me!

Applied to SCA around November. Suuuuper nervous. I’ve been stalking all the old USC discussion threads for the past month or so! X_X

Will USC send out rejection letters for merit scholarships or are you just notified online? What do those envelopes look like? Obviously it’s not flat out rejection (yet) but I’d like to brace myself.

And lmao I’ve been stalking the threads too but I can’t really find any past scholarship recipients for Annenberg. Maybe it’s because most people on this site are interested in things like science and business, but what would Annenberg look for in finalists???

From what I’ve seen in the previous threads, if you apply before December 1st, if scholarship decisions come out and you don’t receive one, you are only notified that you are being reviewed for admissions in a normal white envelope. The acceptance envelopes are big and yellow! I don’t know anything about Annenberg, though.

Within a couple to a few days of merit scholarships going out, USC sends a letter to all that applied by Dec 1st merit deadline but did not receive a scholarship saying, “Sorry, you did not receive a scholarship, but are still being considered for admission and will find out with the regular decision notification that happens in March.”

I applied prior to 12/1. Do I have to send in my mid year report?

As your grades became available, pretty sure you’re supposed to. And when scholarship decisions come out, I think they remind you to submit your midyear grades if you aren’t a finalist.

Has anyone gotten any mail from USC yet? Not, like, letters about admission or anything, but just stuff about the college. All I’ve gotten is the December deadline postcard, and I’m worried I’m not on their radar.
