^^ Haha its okay, the Newport HS I go to is in Washington
shiet
I know I haven’t been posting as actively, but I’ve been following along on here with everything that’s being posted. Can’t believe decisions are so soon
does a 32 act have a chance?
It shocks me that students on CC are asking if a 32 ACT has a chance at admittance, that is an a wonderful score and everyone should know that! First, look at the stats of the school… you are well within range… Second, a score of 32 is fantastic and apples90045 should be remarkably proud!!! I wish our kids didn’t get so caught up in these numbers. The numbers are only one of many data points for admissions to make their decisions…at USC or anywhere.
UGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH
I know I’ve been waiting since December, but it’s like I can’t wait anymore. I just want the day, whenever it is, to be here now lol
Did anyone else here get a likely letter from Cornell today? I’m hoping this means good things for my chances at USC!
@emenya I know how you feel, and I’m sure we all feel the same way. I sent my application in at the end of October…it’s been a very long wait, and the fact that the decisions are being released in just a couple of weeks is both horrifying and thrilling.
Yes, it’s been a really really long wait!
What’s everyone’s intended major here?
@CollegeIsAMaybe
Just because other top tier colleges have accepted doesn’t necessarily (keyword) guarantee you admissions into other top tier universities. Notice how I said necessarily. That proves those rare cases in which someone is accepted into all the ivies. Each college will be different in what it looks for in its incoming freshman class.
Not to crash your dreams of getting in (as I want to) but that’s the truth
i got a 30 and im a scholarship candidate
USC is the last school i’m waiting on and it’s my dream school.
I still remember the first time I found out about USC. I was googling colleges my sophomore year and had already found UCLA. I really liked it but then realized that they didn’t have my major. So I spent two weeks googling other universities in California and found none that I was interested in until up came this school called University of Southern California. I clicked on the link and the first thing
I thought when the website came up was “Their school colors would like nice on tshirt.” From then on, I was hooked.
@Newsie2015 what major?
Broadcast Journalism
@Digitallyshrewd
@Newsie2015
Same story here! I’m majoring in Game Programming, and when I heard USC had one of the top programs I went to research it further and got hooked!
Hey guys, quick question here: since USC mails decisions before they put them online on the 29th, do you think that I (from Chicago) would even get it in the mail before it goes online? I know they do priority mail for acceptances but I’m still wondering how long that would take to get here.
Is the 29th the official date portals are updated? Although I’m rather set on USC not being the one after my transcript ordeal, I’d like to know when I can rip off the bandaid once and for all.
@sebethpin … what happened with the transcript, if I may ask.
@itsdomoo Quite simply, they weren’t received even though they were sent in before the December deadline and my portal initially said they were received. And before anyone asks, I did not confuse my initial transcript with my mid-year report.
I’m still rather meh about the entire debacle, so that’s all you’re getting out of me, sorry.
