[] Other schools applied to: UMiami (accepted)
[li] Comments: My acceptance was sent out on 4/15, and I received it on 4/17. This is relatively earlier then everyone else, because I applied to Viterbi. Also, I got absolutely no money from USC, and there transferring a little less credits than I expected so I’m going to try and fight for a couple courses. But that’s not going to stop me, I can’t wait to start USC next year![/li][/ul]

Stats:[ul]

However, the point was to show how my passion for music developed from that experience and how it helped me overcome a lot of setbacks during that period.
[] Letters of Recommendation: Two of them. One from my economics professor, and the other one from a philosophy professor, who became a great friend. Both very good.
[/ul]Other:[ul]
[] Other schools applied to: None, which was utter insanity, considering I finished CCC this week, but, thanks to The Good Lord, it paid off.
[li] Comments: After submitting my application about 10 minutes before the deadline on 2-1-08, as I was too busy trying to finish everything else on the application that I began earlier that week, I received my first status update on 4-10-08, which told me that they were now reviewing my application. That would remain the same until 5-2-08, which was pretty much the same thing, except without the notice about spring grade requests and that they'd be happy to provide the information on the phone beginning 6-11-08. Then finally, my status changed to "the committee has acted on your application," on 5-5-08, and received my package the next day!
[/li]

I'm still stunned that I got in, but what's even more shocking is how soon I found out. Guess I got lucky... either way, can't wait to attend USC in a few months!

And, by the way, they were very generous in my financial aid and covered more than half of the tuition.

I actually was at CCC for 4 years, the first two as a nursing major without planning to transfer. Those two years were the bulk of my bad grades. Realized I hated nursing, changed my major to Comm, and spent the last two years doing GE's.

I'll be going to UCSD in the fall, something I'm excited about, but it's bittersweet because USC was my dream school. :(
