Hello! I just wanted to start this thread as the admission release is fast approaching. I am very excited/anxious to hear back from UVA. Hopefully we hear back earlier than May 1! I wish all of you the best.

I’ve been checking my SIS everyday, even though it always gives the same “decisions aren’t ready yet, come back May 1st” response :(

Looking at last year, my guess is we’ll hear back April 25th? I hope!

Yeah! I’m hoping it’s April 25 as well.

Yeah my money is on next Friday based on the last two years. Also does it say come back on may 1st because you have a green check?

Yeah, but I wouldn’t bother reading into the whole green check thing. For all intents and purposes it’s pretty meaningless.

@UVaPlease I’ve been doing the same exact thing since submitting the application! If the decision comes on April 12 I will be so relieved to finally have an answer lol.

@Coleworld123 I think I saw on the transfer blog somewhere or one of Dean J’s comments on here stated that the green check means that your application materials have all been turned in and your application is ready to be viewed by admissions. It does not necessarily mean the decision is ready. Hope that helps! Fingers crossed for April 25!

I was just wondering, has anyone gotten anything relating to the financial aid to-do’s? Looking back on past years, it seems like only the people who applied for financial aid and were accepted to the university got new items on their to do list… Anyone get anything like this?

I got financial aid to-do’s about 3 weeks ago in late March.

Where’s everybody trying to transfer from?

I am from a public school in North Carolina. Can somebody tell me if out-state students have a really low chance to get in?

I wouldn’t say “really low” but it’s lower than in-state.

Also, Transfermer said on her blog that the April 25 decision-date is looking “unlikely” at this time :(

Also, I don’t want to scare any current/future applicants, apparently the whole financial aid “to-do” list thing is different this year. Take that as you may.

Yeah, out-of-state admission is tougher. I think they’ll still release it early. just not on the 25th.

Would you guys think that the international applicants would be in the same pool as the out of state applicants?

I am hoping to transfer from the VCCS! Any other community college transfer applicants out there?

@UVaPlease really? I already got my hopes up for the April 25 date but a couple more days won’t hurt! Lol

I’m from the VCCS! A couple more days would probably kill me haha

I’m from The University of Wisconsin, and yeah, April 25 was bad enough!
