There are a lot of you with very high grades, and/or test scores, but thats not the only way to get accepted.

Here my statistics that I got accepted with:

GPA: 3.3
SAT: 1780
AP Classes: 2 (Gov and English)

The grades I earned were poor and the main reason for GPA being so low was sophomore year.

Now this is why I got accepted:

2 Years being VP of DECA (Marketing Club)
2 Time International Competitor in Technical Sales
3 Languages
3 Business Partners Letter of Reccomendations

AP Classes: 2 (Calculus and Physics)

My GPA is low because I'm lazy, exactly the 25% of my student body.

I've done martial arts for 5 years, president of two volunteer groups, and that's it. Not too hard. Essay was fabolous.

I'm from NJ so i dont realli know too much about UW but my sister lives out there so thats my reason for going. I visited the campus and i loved it. If someone could tell me more about UW (social life...dorms..honors program..etc that would be great) Also im going to major in biology (pre-med path) from what i hear their premed courses are realli good and theres a lot of research available. If anyone could tell me more about that too..i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

If you want to meet a lot of poeple, I suggest you sign up for housing at Lander or Terry! Its closer to the Ave--easy access to buses, restauarnts and other stuff! Social life is ill. Capitol hill has your interesting people, southside and west seattle is ghetto, chinatown has good food, downtown has some nice places to check out. Yups you'll like it here in seattle for sure.

yo.. easy on west seattle, a lot of rich people live there too. downtown is 5 minutes south, another 2 min to chinatown. bellevue is on the otherside of lake washington, kind of like a rich suburb - has a nice mall and parks.. if you're into snowboarding, that's pretty big during the winter. not too many indian people around where i live, but it could be different on campus, i dunno. and if you like thai food, there's like 10 restaurants on the ave, i dunno why

lol easy on the times! they are decieving! When was the last time you could get from UW to chiantown in two minutes! lol Thaiger Room--thai restaurant on the ave-- there are a lot of thai spots on the ave and i think one indian restuarant. Plus some othe rstuff too! and your local starbucks

if the unofficial transcript page doesnt work (after being reviewed) is it possible you're waitlisted? how do we find out?

you'll have to wait for your letter

is the unofficial transcript thing updated right away? or do we have to wait, and if so, for how long?

if you doesn't load up in the next four hours, then most likely you were either denied or waitlisted. Some accepted applicants have had trouble with the unofficial transcript (weren't able to load). The longest time it took for someone to load up their unofficial transcript, I believe, was 6 hours?

I was up at UW for 2 days last week, stayed in my friend's apartment and my other friend's dorm. The AVE has a lot of viet places and lots of thai and many other choices. Lander is pretty awesome, all freshmen and coed, I like I like =]. Terry is pretty much connected to it. Everyone is so nice, some juniors and sophomores walked by my friend's dorm and asked us to roast marshmallows and play mafia in the lounge, that was pretty fun. Oh yeah and hotties walking around in their PJ's, yeah yeah, good stuff. Who's with me?

Aye steve, you dormin at UW too? If so, what hall? Lander per chance?

i'm sending in my housing application tonight, and my first choice is definitely lander.

mmm i can't wait for lander.

i said ANOTHER 2 min from downtown, ie 7 min from uw.

how were the rooms?

not great, but not bad, smallish. but enough room.. iono seem slike 14 feet by 10 or something, maybe 13 by 8, iono i'm not good wtih sizes. If you arrange your room well, then you'll have plenty of room.

I am confused bout the halls..
which ones should i chose...?
Lander, Terry, McMahon...
is lander the best..???

aye steve, did you see any beds in lander where the beds were on a loft or w/e?
