Wow all you STEM majors commenting and I’m here with intended History major. Lol
@SeattleMom1 When you say that Seattle is much smaller, what do you mean? Seattle has a higher population and is only slightly smaller in land area.
Biology (Physiology). going premed track. also does anyone have an idea on the average stats for the purple and gold scholarship? i got a 33 on ACT with 4.0 unweighted and 4.7 weighted graduating valedictorian of my class. im applying out of state and really hoping i can get some money (and also an acceptance in general would be helpful lol). thank you ill take any info provided on the scholarship bc there isnt a ton out there!
Business Administration, hoping to hear back soon! Im so nervous!!!
also as someone who grew up in the midwest i am so excited to live in a liberal area. im not completely left but i have been surrounded by some intense conservatism for a lot of my life so the change will be nice!!
Engineering
Ugh upset that we haven’t heard back yet. My spring break is next week (march 12-16) and I was really hoping to hear back from now so I could book a trip for nxt week
uw.camp on IG posted 4 hours ago that “notifications are on their way” which was at like 3PM. So most of us would prolly get our decisions in the mail tmr
I’m so scared like what if I don’t get in?? I feel like since they exceeded their usual applicant # they will lower the acceptance rate because they might not have enough room
@calista2018, it’s impossible to predict with any certainty, but if you don’t get that scholarship, no one’s getting it! Your academic record is outstanding. Did you consider applying to the Honors Program? It’s not for everyone, but you would appear to be a strong candidate based on your stats.
Man myUW still doesn’t have a decisions for me
@UWfromCA i did apply!! i really want to get in both because of the whole helpfulness and academia and ALSO bc the dorms for honors look so nice
I’m going for astronomy/astrophysics if anyone knows anything about their program?
Our climate is much more mild than MA. Our fall can start on Labor day, or it may not start until Halloween. It’s mild and damp here, overcast much of the time. Our rain primarily comes from Hawaii, so it is plentiful and mild. We don’t get much snow. You need to dress in layers and get a good pair of lightweight, waterproof hiking boots and a waterproof rain jacket that you can layer polar fleece under for cold days.
@superstar542 I also applied to Business Administration!
also, is anyone in here in IB? I feel like i only ever see AP kids
@kyrasj yup I’m IB
@aweinst…if you don’t get in you will go to one of the other great schools you applied to and were accepted at, you will love it and in a semester or two you won’t know why you even wanted to go any place else. You will bloom where you are planted, whether it is in Washington or Ohio or Florida or Timbuktu!
Economics!
