***Official UW Class of 2022 Decision Thread***

Is @FloridaHusky user legitimate? He/she just registered and had only one post.

@FloriaHusky - If your account is real, then my apologies!

@ak9800 @Qnaiin can we not get into politics right now? We’re all anxious teenagers but we don’t need that on top of waiting for our decisions.

@CrazePhil - Thank you. Well said.

@crazephil we’re not getting into politics. Just speaking about the reality of campus life. Can’t take the heat, then get out of the kitchen.

@ak9800 most of the west coast is liberal my friend. I live in cali. And i love it here. Do not worry. I dont really want to get into politics but just ignore irrational people.

can everyone say their intended major? Neurobiology here!

What time do they usually update the portal? Or is it just random times?

@CrazePhil Seattle is much smaller than Boston and easier to drive around in. Yes, there is bad traffic during commute times but there is a great bus and light rail system you can use. My kids like the music festivals we have and the variety of things to do in the city.

@kyrasj I also applied for Neurobiology! :slight_smile:

Yeah Seattle is super liberal, but Washington state in general is pretty liberal. Like, yes we have conservatives, but Washington is very progressive. It likely won’t be an issue for people from other left states or people with similar beliefs. Seattle may be too liberal for conservatives, but I don’t think it would be a reason to up and leave the state/college.

Then again, I’m from Washington and have lived here my whole life, so who knows

I applied to aerospace engineering!

Good idea!! Pre-health sciences for me :slight_smile:

@jamie3300 see and Florida is heavily conservative (minus some major cities)

DS applied biomedical engineering.

@aweinst go us!!!

I applied for computer engineering

Bioengineering!

still waiting to hear in ohio- never even been to the west coast haha, so definitely going to need a visit if i make it in- i applied environmental sciences

Just be open-minded when you explore these new college campuses. I don’t think politics will be a great issue if you choose to not get too involved. Most of us agree that there are radicals on both sides that need to be ignored or at least given no attention to.

@lwyant225 My sister goes to Kent State after never having visited Ohio. She can attest…the PNW & Ohio are VERY different on many levels. LOL
