I am a little confused about what major I got into. I requested Community, Environment, and Planning, but it says my assigned major is “Pre Major (Arts & Sciences),” what does this mean?

For all of y’all confused about your assigned major, this helps a lot. The way I understand it, some majors don’t have Direct to Major options. Very few people actually get admitted with their major, and most students complete prereqs to get the major (NBD).
