Thank you guys so much. That makes a lot of sense now. It is indeed quite an achievement.
I’m from Cali. Have a 4.09 Weighted GPA and 4.07 CSU GPA. Got a 24 on my ACT and 1170 on my SAT. Took 6 APs and 5 Honors courses. I don’t think I’m going to be admitted, even though this is my first choice school.
BUT I wish the best to everyone who does get accepted! Hope all you future Huskies enjoy UW!
But clarifying.
If you receive an email from UW admissions that likely means you are rejected or waitlisted correct?
We just have to keep checking the portal to see if we get a decision right?
yes, so in other words an email is bad news haha.
If you’re waitlisted, do they tell you where you are on the list so you have some idea of the likelihood?
I’m not sure if this is true. On your student portal application page, it states that they will inform you when a decision is made. When I got accepted into Bothell, they sent an email along the lines of “a change has been made on your application status”.
I can’t concentrate y’all
I hope they release our accepted decision tomorrow!
Based on the UW thread from last year, decisions will likely come out this week. Maybe check starting Thursday or Friday. However, it’s not officially stated that these will actually be the dates for any released decisions. But again, this is only based on last year’s, it may change.
If you go to IG and type #Newhuskies2019, you’ll see the latest picture posted by the UW first year program with students that have their acceptance letters and stuff. The picture says 14 hrs ago
@Bigtex101 same here! my GPA is the best part of my application besides EC but im also out of state and my test scores are average
@abiistark Ahhh!! I’m so nervous I’m worried about my test scores since they’re average and I’m out of state I know how you’re feeling ?
I am really nervous as well, since I applied CS, but am out of state. Ahhhh, I just want to know!
Mine is not out ? idk about others
i don’t think they’re out. people always jump into threads before decisions are released and scare everyone…this happened in the umiami thread, tulane, and nyu…idk what people are gaining from that lol
even i haven’t heard from uw yet.
applied for cs
act - 34
sat subj
phy - 780
math 2 - 800
chem - 800
toefl - 105
international applicant(india) though i have a us passport(was born there)
whole lotta cs related projects for ecs
predicted percentage - 98.2%
yeah ik our school sends out predicted percentages not gpa or class rank
chance me??
It’s virtually impossible to predict with certainty anyone’s chances as so much of the applications process is subjective and comes down to how an admissions director “feels” after reading your essays and compares them to all other applicants. :)>-
@UWadmissionstaff please tell us when do the decisions start coming out?
Only those with Presidential Scholarships find out on the 1st. The rest of the decisions I have heard are going to be between the 12th and 15th.
