So I was told by an admissions counselor in mid-March that I would get my decision by the beginning of April, likely within the first week. And I can call on the 15th to get my decision if for some reason I haven’t received it -.- Has anyone else heard this? It seems unlike past years…

Haven’t heard that, but it would be awesome to hear before the third week of April, which is what I’ve been assuming.

I got the confirmation email today too, LelouchFTW!

The person in the admissions office that I spoke with today said they start reviewing complete applications tomorrow, and that we could hear something in as little as two weeks. And that if we don’t hear anything in 3 weeks, to keep calling to check up.

A lot sooner than I expected!

Wow, it looks like we may find out sooner than expected. Does anyone know how we will be informed of our decisions (phone call, mail, e-mail, etc.)?

From what I read no admissions decisions will be given out over the phone. My best bet is a letter in the mail.

Yeah, I heard that we’ll get a letter in the mail and that international students will get an email. Or something like that…

I called today and spoke with a lady in admissions. I asked her when decision letters were going to be mailed and she told that they were being mailed as we speak. So idk guys, I wish everyone good luck on when they get their decisions

This has creeped up on me way too fast. I was thinking that we wouldn’t get a decision til May at the earliest. Fingers crossed for everyone on this thread!!

well since I got my email today I should get my decision within two weeks, maybe for those who got their complete app email earlier they’ll get it anytime now

excuse me, yesterday

cousinvinny, are you serious or were you pranking us for april fools’?

^ lol, forreal. This is scaring me!

I won’t even know what to do when I get my decision in the mail…I’ll probably just stare at the envelope and be too afraid to open it.

Did you specify that you were a transfer applicant? It says on Vanderbilt’s website that Regular Decision letters are mailed on April 1st and Transfer letters are mailed beginning in mid-April. Maybe the lady you spoke to was referring to the Regular Decision letters when she said that they were already being mailed.

Update: I just checked the Vanderbilt Admissions Blog, and it says that Regular Decision letters for the Class of 2017 were mailed on March 25. Maybe some Transfer letters really have been mailed already. I guess we will find out soon enough…

Just got chills. They’ve had my application complete since long before deadline. So just read that acceptances come priority mail, rejections come first class mail, at least for regular decision.

Does anyone know those mails will be sent to our current college address or home address?

Probably home address. Check your common app and see what address you used.

So, Newtocollege, you already got accepted and transferred to Vandy for last fall right? Do you remember if the acceptance comes in a packet or if it’s in a priority mail cardboard box?

if we got our “app complete” email on the 1st of April when should we expect a decision by?

No, letouchFTW, I’m in the same boat as you. I WISH that was true. I just read about the envelopes on the regular decision 2017 threads.
