I feel like if I don’t do it soon, I’ll never do it at all.

If I don’t get my applications in during winter break, they’ll never get done. But I’m not starting until after finals.

Maybe I should have waited to do my essays after Finals but oh well.

Where is everyone?!

Studying for finals…

Ugh mine aren’t until next week. That means I have a full weekend filled with studying :(

Will be applying but am focused on finals right now and figure can do transfer essays over winter break. I’m a non-trad but get along/blend in fine w/the 20 yr olds who all think I’m 21/22. Feel like I’ve got pretty good chances.

Hispanic male - 25 non-trad soph - CofC in SC - Econ major
SAT: 710-M 630-V
GPA: 42 credits by end of this semester need low 70’s on my last two finals to pull another 4.0 semester. So 4.0 cum gpa (taking the med school pre-req’s right now Chem/Phys/Bio)

All-State soccer player in HS, 13 varsity letters…played on two PDL soccer teams (like A/AA baseball) for 3 yrs., had a 9 month trial w/a pro team in Spain right outta HS…joined Air Force reserves/Air National Guard 2.5 years ago when I realized pro-soccer is hard…needed to cover that tuition. Transferring b/c the state ran outta military scholarship funds.

Got crap the other day from my Chem teacher telling me I need to be in the Honors College we have here…assume this means when I ask her for a LOR it’ll be strong.

If you don’t get in, I don’t know who can.

Hi everyone! I’d appreciate some feedback on my chances at Vanderbilt :)

I spent my first year of college at a school in Ohio, but the academics weren’t challenging so I came home to California, enrolled in my local community college and have been taking courses that will let me enter any UC school with junior status. I’m still interested in private schools of the quality of Vanderbilt, but I’m worried that these schools will see my transferring to a community college as a negative.

Here are my stats, looking for some insight:

Thanks, you guys! Looking forward to going through this whole application process with you all!

I doubt Vandy will look down on your CC.

Kind of having a mental breakdown when I think about applying…and my test scores and high school GPA. Plus the fact that all of us writing on this board are just a tiny fraction of the people who will be applying Not to be a downer but I’ve just mentally exhausted from this process.

Don’t be! Let your college GPA + essays overshadow HS. I’m REALLY hoping they do that for me.

for us that need financial aid am I reading their website correctly that we need to submit by early Feb rather than in March?

Ewwww. Ugh. Gotta send it in even earlier.

Praise God, it’s Finals Week. It’s almost over.

does the Feb 5th priority deadline for Fin Aid transfers mean we have to get the CSS&FAFSA over to them by then or the entire transfer application?

I believe the transfer application is due in its entirety by mid-March.

Ok, that makes me feel a bit better.

Can anyone tell me the acceptance rate for international students ?

^ You might have to Google that one.

Everyone finished with Fall semester?
