Have you guys been excepted anywhere else? Do you plan on attending Vanderbilt?

@jfcampos I submitted everything on the 13th of February, and everything was in and recorded by like February 21st or something. It looks like the only people getting their acceptances are College of Arts and Science.

@jfcampos Close enough, I’ll take it!

@CaptTShannan Haha well I’m a PolySci major so I would fit in to that category. Hopefully we’l find out sooner than later… I’m checking MyAppVU every hour ahah

Omg congratulations everyone!!
Has anybody from peabody gotten an email or decision?

Do any of you know why some of us heard back early?

i applied to peabody too and haven’t heard. i sent my application in on february 28th too. i imagine we will hear within the next 2 weeks. i am also a sophomore so i have done 2 years of college and am applying

@TransferGirlSoph What are you wanting to major in? And what are your stats?

@CaptTShannan elementary education, i am already in an education program so they line up. and 3.7 at college, didnt do as well in high school but i went to an extremely competitive high school and since i am a sophomore they look more heavily at my college credentials. and a lot of ec’s, particularly around my interest in education

I submitted my stuff by mid february and I applied to College of Arts and Sciences I’m hoping I get mine soon. Mine might take longer because two counselors have to go over it because I’m at a Canadian school sooo eek

@gabby1994 nearly all of the applications have to be looked by two counselors.

oops then i meant three? because I spoke to mine and he said in addition to the standard review, mine has to be looked at by a certain international counselor too! ugh this is nerve-racking @CaptTShannan

@gabby1994 I agree. It’s extremely nerve-racking.

Vandy “rolls out” transfer admissions in waves. You can see this by looking at the Vandy transfer thread in the transfer forum from last year. Unfortunately, this is about a six-week process, so it does seem to go on forever.

Do you guys think each wave comes each Saturday or we could get an email any day?

Do you guys think that the building of the two new dorms (Warren College and Moore College) will affect the transfer acceptance rate for this season?

What does the first wave usually mean?

@erin11 I don’t believe so. Their still planning on enrolling around 200 student. The only thing that will change the acceptance rate is really how many people apply compared to their 200 student enrolling goal.

And looking back, I realize I have misspelled “they’re”. smh

@CaptTShannon

+4.0 in community college
+Have balanced 16/17 credits with part time job
+Officer at PTK, Won awards for campus service, Long-term volunteer at local food bank
+LoRs are probably good as I helped out both instructors outside of class
+What I feel are strong essays and required explanations for ■■■■■■ s’more year in high school
-Few major prereqs completed in major pre-reqs
-Pre-med student #94902381801838549578438
-Unfortunately, 2060, 2110 SS, with low math (650, which is odd given how I’m sending in midterm with an A in Calc I)
-2.7 in high school + GED

…Whew! I know you just asked for stats.

I’m just afraid I’ll set the wrong tone, y’all. Do I just write a short e-mail why Vanderbilt is a good fit for me?
