Official Vanderbilt University Fall 2014 Transfer Thread

So if they also reject the least qualified in this process just as quick as they accept the most qualified, then I guess I can say Congratulations for not being immediately rejected?!!!? You have made it to the next round.
I mean… That makes sense, because I got rejected from another university the first week of admission decisions. I had really no interest in that school and I’m sure it showed in my application that I didn’t care. I never even sent them recommendations or anything like that- so they knew right away they were going to reject me and they did. On the other had, I applied to another school which I was well qualified for and also have (double) legacy status there. I guess they knew right away they would accept me, so I got my letter quickly at the start of the review process.
So I’m just going to look at it this way- Not being rejected immediately means you have a fighting chance. Hahah

“there stats, … (and they’re stats)”

Two tries and you got it wrong both times. Third time’s a charm!

Congratulation!! @ZYRafael‌ We actually have the same name! Lol Where on MyAppVU did you see your decision? After “Application Status”?

I like your positive attitude! @Yazzerrr‌

I still haven’t gotten anything. :confused:

Also, @MaynardGKrebs‌. While any relevant information and concerns relating to this thread are welcome, I think it’s best if you leave hateful, demeaning, and abrasive comments off of here. Everyone saw that @erin11‌ messed up. I’m sure that she even saw it. But the fact of the matter is, it’s neither your place nor anyone else’s to correct her on her mistakes. I’ve looked back at your previous posts and the majority of them have attacked others on their intelligence, so please refrain from using such behavior on this thread.

Thank you.

@cassifields‌, hey! What are your stats?

@CaptTShannan‌ Thank you. >:D<

I second @CaptTShannan s comment. We’ve all been to school. The point of this forum is to talk to one another about the transfer process. Not to criticize. This isn’t an application and there’s no rule about proper grammar. If you’ve applied @MaynardGKrebs or have something valuable to add please share. If not, get lost. We don’t want comments like that on this thread.

I apologize for hurting your feelings. My comments were meant to be both humorous and educational.

However, I do believe that you should take care in how you present yourself, whether it’s on an official application or not. To not care whether you use the proper word or not just because “it doesn’t count” is sloppy and will come back to bite you in the future.

That said, I wish all of you the best in your transfer applications.

@MaynardGKrebs‌
In no way did you hurt my feelings. I just find it extremely annoying when someone thinks they should act like an omniscient, duplicitous jerk.
That being said, allow me to correct you on your grammar mistake.
“To not care” isn’t proper grammar because it splits the infinitive being used in the sentence. I suggest you take care in how you present yourself. It’s sloppy and could come back to haunt you.

@MaynardGKrebs‌ my feeling were not hurt. I hope you find success in your future endeavors.

@MaynardGKrebs mine weren’t either! How shocking. Also I don’t recall anyone saying “it doesn’t count”. Just that I said there were no rules regarding grammar on this forum. If you know otherwise, feel free to enlighten the rest of us!

@CaptTShannan I love you.

@galapin26‌ The decision will appear automatically after you logged in. And the tabs at top would be changed

Thank you! @ZYRafael‌

When did you guys submit application, I submit application about 3/15 and It seems that I still have not received any deicision…

I sent mine 2/28 and haven’t heard yet

I sent mine 2/13 and haven’t gotten anything. But I’m hoping for an email tonight around 5:00!

Do you mean that those student who are admitted will receive an likely letter or sth?

@CaptTShannan‌ I’m thinking 5 too when the office closes so they aren’t bombarded with calls. fingers crossed!

@capttshannan My stats are as follows:

HS GPA 4.23/4.0 weighted (I don’t know what it is unweighted. Maybe a 3.75-3.8/4.0?)
Current college: 4.0 GPA, 45 credits, freshman
SAT: 2030
Math Subject Test: 720
Extra details:
-Doing a meta-analyses research project with a professor this semester
-Volunteer at a local hospital for the semester
-I’m in an “Advanced Calculus” sequence which combines calculus 1-3, linear algebra, and proof analysis
-Various high school part-time jobs and some extra-curricular clubs

I applied 3/9 but some of my materials were delayed because of problems with my lovely college’s registrar (grr) so my application wasn’t complete until 3/25. I don’t expect to hear back for a while but I still keep checking!
