Well, it looks like we have about 3 or 4 weeks before we find out whether or not we got in. I thought I'd make this thread so we could just ramble on, speculate, and post things that aren't really worth posting anywhere else on this forum. It'll be like the Noah's Ark of Wash U. applicants...two from Massachusetts, two from New York, two from California...two from texas...etc. all just making small talk.

As they say, if you build it, they will come. So, join me.

Very cute. I don’t like to post my location, except to say that now we’ve got two parents from New England! I hate to admit that I am more obsessed with this process than my kids are!

TatinG - WashU is very generous with financial aid. If you are not happy with the initial offer, you can go back and appeal. If you have good justification, they will make the appropriate changes. The key is good reasons that can be backed up.

i wrote a touching essay (in relation to my sexuality, but it was a really good essay imo)
with great recommendations… great GPA just ACT (31 superscored) is what I think will keep me out.
and i’m applying for financial aid.

i don’t think I’m going to get in, it was my biggest reach. but we’ll see what happens! good luck to everyone!

My D is a sophomore at WUSTL. She was actually sent a letter a week or two ahead of the official scheduled notification date that she was invited to the Diversity weekend (which if I recall correctly coincides with the Thurtene carnival) and that her actual acceptance letter would be following later. So if you are a “diverse” candidate, you may hear something earlier. Good luck everyone-it’s an awesome school!

I’m Puerto Rican/Cuban. I assume diversity weekend is for really strong applicants to with them over? I am certainly low on their scale of applicants, and correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t diversity weekend for Olin candidates?

If we’re going with March 10 (which i really hope we are!) Then only 13 days left!!! I’m reping Illinois! Good luck to everyone, i hope it’s an acceptance for you!
