Official Wednesday PSAT Discussion

Yes, time constraints do suck...

damn i wish i could press rewind on my life...

its over...i'm a failure

heres hiw u do circle.....
u have 2-1-2-1... right
u think of a segment as 2-1. then u have 3. u have 16 of those, u get 48. u add a circle to the end and u get 17

i got confused on the medium otoo.
the answer for that history thing was A, the methodology one. its like elimination style solving.

I believe i got 3 no errors on sentence errors, and then A about twice on the fix the sentence

had a trouble with this one

Section 1
8. Though friends, Jaelyn and Sean are temperamental opposites: while Jaelyn is outgoing and ....., Sean is usually reserved and .......

C) affable.. aloof

is this the answer?

I got lots of C's on the writing section, along with some E's mixed in with the C's.

jrcho, don't worry about it. And thanks for taking the time to post all of these questions. I think we all appreciate it.

what were the answer choices to that quewstion about the two people?

I HATEEE that square one
Im good at math - 800 on math IIC (not thaat impressive, but PSAT? joke)
that was SO DUMb
thats not math at ALL
!

What was the answer to the question where it said " Which of these techniques will the historian not use." That was a question with the African American professor.

C is definately the answer, friendly vs uninvolved. More! More! :)

umm what were the other choices for 8? i think i got C for that, got to see the others first tho

C is wrong
i think it was E for that one
wiaT!
i remember
it was something <word>, intoverted</word>

yes, I have this one especially in mind..

Section 1

The dance numbers were of contrasting styles: ------ solos, inviting meditation and instilling tranquility, were intermixed with ensemble performances that were ------ in nature, full of wild, excited movements.

A) plaintive...languorous
B) staccato...boisterous
C) contemplaitive...frenetic
D) cacophonous...grandiose'
E) brazen..rambunctious

I guessed C (between A and C)

YO! Man! Go over that rocket question on the writing section sentence fixing please!!!

for the techniques that they didnt' use, i put the historical books one...how bout u ppl

For #8

D) demure...introverted
E) jovial...congenial

section 1, 6: ^, definitely C, frenetic's definition is exactly wild, frenzied, excited...

What about B for the sentence completion about the dances? I think that's the one I marked.

C is definately right, aloof and crap!!
For history i think it was books also...

6 is C, 8 is E i think.

oh wait. i got 8 wrong...
