@Yinlune Does your portal say you’re missing some stuff? And there’s no need to worry! I don’t think our financial package will affect our chances of admission!

@blimey911 Thanks! I had everything in before the dead line but in the portal, I have documents that have been received, but not reviewed (it hasn’t been updated since November/11 ). I was wondering if anyone else had the same status?

@Yinlune On my financial aid page most of my requirements are fulfilled expect for the FAFSA and the dependent verification sheet. FAFSA can’t be completed until after the New Year because that’s when they release the one for our year.

All of my financial aid forms were actually in late, but the people at Wellesley told my family that it will not affect my admission decision, just potentially when we find out our financial aid.

So basically, I wouldn’t worry!!

Does our financial package come with our acceptance letter in December or do we need to wait until April??

@jcf95cj , your financial aid package will for sure come with the admission decision if you submitted all financial aid materials on time. If you submitted things late, then it will come a bit later. But it will NOT be so late as April because we are ED applicants, and we need the financial aid package to see if we can attend (the only way to get out of the ‘binding’ is to say that the aid did not meet your need). So yeah, don’t worry :)

Thank You!!! And guys, we only have six days left!!! So nerve-wrecking,…

Hello everyone! It is very nice to see that I’m not the only person freaking out right now

I want to double major in mathematics and economics. I come from a very competitive public h.s. in northern California, where ALL of my friends have 2300+ SAT and 10+ AP, so I am not outstanding in my h.s. :((

I attended Wellesley Pre-College Program this summer, and it was the BEST experience I’ve ever had in my life!! Everyone is so supportive. I lived on campus for 4 weeks, and I really hope that I can live on campus for 4 years!! I promise you guys the dining at Wellesley is really good!! I also love the neighborhood; it feels like home. I feel that I might know some of you guys :x

I did an alumni interview in Oct., and it went well I think. My supplement is about curriculum and fellowship. I don’t know my chance at Wellesley. I came to America when I was in 9th grade, so my SAT CR and W scores are below Wellesley average. I have 2100+, but it is mainly because I got 800 in math. I took SATII mathii, physics, and chem. I am going to have 12 AP by the end of my senior year, but only one is humanities.

Hopefully we can all meet at Wellesley next year! :-*

Where else are you guys applying? I am applying to UPenn, UMich, CMU, and Olin, but Wellesley is definitely my dream school

@NameNotAvailable, that’s so awesome that you did their pre-college program this summer! It’s funny because my AP classes are the exact opposite – I’ve taken mainly humanities courses and just one math and science

I’m probably going to revise the list of other schools I’m applying to if I don’t get into Wellesley, but right now, my other top choices are Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, and Tufts. Really crossing my fingers for good news on Thursday, though!

@namenotavailable Out of curiosity, where did you dorm during the Wellesley pre-college summer program?? (How were the dorms, haha?) When I was first looking into the program two years ago, I SWEAR that I read that they didn’t offer on-campus housing for the participants, so I didn’t apply. Instead, I’ve attended a different pre-college program for the past two summers, one that offers on-campus housing… and, now, I’m a bit (er…make that insanely) upset that I missed out on a chance to be at Wellesley!

On an unrrelated note, starts the five-day countdown

I’m honestly such a nervous bundle of energy right now. Wellesley has been my absolute dream school since sophomore year. As such, nearly everyone in my life knows about Wellesley and knows I applied ED because I’ve been planning on doing so for a good three years!! This is, if I’m honest, remarkably stressful because there’s such a massive, massive expectation for me. Ughhhh. Only five days. Ya salaam. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to log on myself…I might have to make my mom do it for me haha.

Im so nervous but I Keep imagining that facebook/instagram/twitter post I know exactly what mines going to say, if Thursday becomes one of the best days of my life.

omg @lizg132 me too! Here in Minnesota, we usually take Senior Pictures which is just an excuse to get nice portraits taken. I did some of mine in my Wellesley shirt and there’s this one candid one that I love so, so, so much. If I get in…well, that’s going to be my profile picture basically everywhere haha.

I lived in Dower. It was one of the smallest houses, and it didn’t have a dining area. My dorm was okay. I visited other houses on campus, and they were all very nice!!

@sourvinegar omg i’m exactly the same. i’ve been wanting to attend Wellesley FOREVER and everyone who spent 15+hours with me knows that lol. I’m sooo nervous for Thursday. I can’t wait!

@namenotavailable I’m really sorry for being so nosy, but Dower is actually my second choice for Wellesley dorming, so I’m super curious, and it’s sooo hard to find any in-depth information about the dorms, especially tiny Dower! Did you have a triple or a quad? How big were the rooms? How was the view? The location? Which dining hall is closest (Sone D or Bates?)? Fun Fact: Dower is actually a converted horse barn and is set up differently than all other dorms on campus because the doubles (quads) have a study room in the middle; it houses 38 students, the majority being first years. Please correct my if I’m wrong!

@jcf95cj @sourvinegar That makes 3 of us I’ve wanted to be a part of Wellesley since freshman year ~ I told my high school councelor that Wellelsey was my top choice at the beginning of sophomore year, and, when I applied last month, she said “Wow, it’s still your top school after two years, huh?” All my friends/family know, but they still have trouble pronouncing “Wellesley” for some reason!

@toratori haha my extended family always thinks I applied to Wesleyan. I’m like, no, no it’s WELLESLEY. My mom also says Wessley occaisonally. Oh well. If I end up there, they’ll figure it out :)

@toratori yeah, I know it used to be a barn
I don’t know if it was a quad or double. There are 2 rooms in each suite, and each room houses 2 students. There is a study area between the two rooms. I like the view, and it is close to Bates. I don’t know whether the rooms were big or not because it was my first time to live on campus. I think it was very hot in summer (maybe it’s because I am from California) , so I would prefer to go to the science building during the daytime.

@sourvinegar It’s so funny because there’s where I live there’s a nonprofit private college called Wesley: their colors are blue and white, they have 2,300 students, and their logo looks a bit like Wellesley’s at first glance… except their applicant GPA average is hovering somewhere around a 2.7. So whenever I tell people where I’m applying for Early Decision I either get “You can do so much better!” or “Did you mean Wesleyan?” hahaha

@NameNotAvailable Thank you!!! :)

Oh, actually, @NameNotAvailable … I thought of more questions! (I’m so sorry for being so invasive and annoying!!! Please forgive me… don’t feel pressured to answer any of these, ok?) :(

Where the floors carpeted on wooden?

Was there a kitchen?

Was there a common room?

Were there floor bathrooms of bathrooms per suite?

How many floors?

Was there a laundry room?

Was there a basement floor?

I feel really behind for not having found this earlier, but I applied ED too, and I want to be an International Relations-Economics major.
@NameNotAvailable, are all of the beds on the floor at Wellesley or are some of them bunked?
