I have a very strange background that is either a hook or a major minus depending on who is reading my app. That probably did it. That or my AP scores weren’t good enough.

Waitlisted. :frowning:
I probably should’ve shown more interest. I didn’t apply for EE.

Accepted!! For those of us who weren’t home before 5, does anybody have any ideas/guesses about when fin aid packages will be (re)released?

@Quijote: Nope. I keep refreshing the portal, though, in hopes it will soon be there. Congratulations on your acceptance!

@Helimom
same, me too! I guess I can safely assume by the evening tonight (hopefully), so I’ll be checking throughout the day… :o

I can’t recreate my d’s stats accurately enough to post in detail (Summary: ACT 33, unadjusted GPA about 3.8 or 3.9, IB program, lots of ECs) but reading those of the folks who were waitlisted makes me impressed with all of you and also in awe of the solomonic divining challenge that the admissions officers face. My daughter is the beneficiary of some good fortune, the origin of which we will never be certain. And I’m sure all of you are headed to great college experiences.

LoL I just think it’s funny that the website says that the financial aid info won’t be available until sometime today because of “current high volume usage”. I suspect the high volume today is being caused by those of us trying over and over again to see it, and once we can see it, the volume usage will go down.

I thought it might be helpful to future applicants to know how the likely / possible / unlikely letters that were sent out for EE matched up with the decisions. I know some of you already noted that in your posts.

D got a likely letter and was accepted.

My girl got a likely letter and was accepted.

Our D chose not to do EE and was accepted. Our heads are still reeling to be honest - especially looking at the stats here and the very impressive pool of applicants! Good luck to all no matter where you end up!

FA Letters are up - I am a little surprised by ours - not in a good way!

Got a possible letter and was accepted! Could not be happier right now!!!

On our FA letter, our cost (not including loan and work) came in slightly higher than our FAFSA EFC, which did surprise me a little. The loan and work bring it down below our FAFSA EFC, but I consider those to be ways to pay our costs, so I don’t count them when looking at our net price.

Got a likely letter and got in-i was frantically checking my phone last night minutes before we were supposed to start the overture for the musical! Fa was better than expected but not great. We’ve been getting 0 need-based aid lately so it was a nice surprise, even if co is still like 35000. Is anyone else thinking about turning down wellesley just because of affordability?

What do the costs look like for sophomore-senior year? Does the COA rise? Does the FA packet quoted freshman year decrease in intervening years?

FA is not looking too good…but honestly it’s one of the best I’m going to get. I’m going to appeal based on certain personal circumstances (that I did mention in the CSS, but worth another shot…)

Vp student council, president model un, president antibullying club, student ambassador, peer leader. Senior year courseload all APs. Supplemental Essay about female empowerment Hook:none.

I would like to say as a parent, it all seems so random…students with excellent credentials getting waitlisted or rejected…doesn’t make sense to me…Thank God this is my last child going through this…the college admissions process really needs to be reformed,

I Will be thrilled when this week and next week are over as will my daughter
