What should I phase I?

November 1st

Econ 1 Olney
Math 55 Vojta
Math 54 Teleman
Statistics 134 Purves

Im thinking stats 134 and econ 1 for phase one? is that correct? Thanks for any help :D

@desperatechaos-You’ll be ok, but you may not get the best section.
@ActuallyActuary-You can phase 2 math 55 and get a good section.

Nov 1st.

Math 1B
CS 61A
Econ 1
Public Policy C103
Math 24 (seminar)

Nov 1st.

Econ 100A
UGBA 10
South Asian R5B
Classics 10B

I know I should phase I UGBA 10 and South Asian R5B, but would I have any chance of getting Econ 100A for phase II?

Nov 1st.

I’m taking:
Math 16B
MCB 41
Bio 1B
Anthro 3AC

My appointment is tomorrow. I’m for sure going to phase I Bio, but should I phase I anthro or math?

Here’s my schedule -
Phase I:
Physics H7B
Physics H7C
Phase II:
Math H113
Math 55
Physics 7C

If I can’t handle H7C, I’ll just drop it and stay in 7C and vice-versa if I can handle H7C. You guys will probably think that’s an impossible schedule and tell me not to do it, but last time I got advice from you guys, I decided to take Math H110, Physics H7A, and three breadths (total of 17 units), and it’s a joke; I’m A+ing all my classes. I wish I had at least taken Math 55 in conjunction, but whatever, at least I had an easy first semester. It will never be that easy again.

My friend is taking Math H110 and Physics H7A right now plus breadths and is doing well, but I’m pretty sure he knows not to take H7B and H7C simultaneously. I think he’s taking H7B H113, and 55, with a breadth. He’s very intelligent, but even he knows that taking 4 technical courses including 3 honors your second semester is a little crazy.

If you do that though, you should probably drop to 7C, as it seems that 7C is much more difficult than the rest of the 7 series, and H7C is probably a little too crazy for that schedule.

I’d suggest taking H7B, H113, 55, and a breadth, instead of taking 7C.

If your friend is taking H110 and H7A right now, I think I know him because there’s only two others I know that are in both of those classes; one of them’s an EECS freshman and the other’s a Physics or Math sophomore (I think). I can always drop to 7C and it’ll be fine in my opinion, which will be my insurance. I only have a couple more breadths to fill, and I can do those ones in the summer and as requirements for my major so I don’t need to do anymore breadths within the school year.
It doesn’t seem all that hard since I know the EECS freshman is taking CS 61A and 61C also and I’m sure he’s doing very well in all four technical classes.

Well I wouldn’t say that 61A and 61C together would be that difficult, because 61A is fairly easy if you’ve had any programming experience before. Right now I really wish I decided to take 61A and 61C this semester, instead of taking 61A and 7C. Personally it seems that 7C is about on par with difficulty as the Honors 7A/B, so I don’t know how H7C will stack up.

I guess it is hard for me to gauge how difficult that will be since right now 70% of my time is devoted to my R&C course (I’m good at writing, it just is a very long process for me) and 7C demands a good amount of time.

I’m an EECS freshman, but I have enough units that I can afford to take 3 technical courses a semester, take almost every upper div EE and CS course, so I’m choosing to take just 3 classes this semester with EE20N, EE40, CS 61C, just so I can take upper divs next fall. That way I can be lazy or I can get a job.

My friends double majoring math/physics, and if that is what you’re doing, then I guess it makes sense to take them that quickly so you can get to graduate level courses.

I think you’ll be fine if you have a good amount of time to focus on those courses, but if I were you I would probably just take H7B, H113, and Math 55, just to have some extra time to have fun.

I have no idea how hard it is to get into physics classes, but atm, physics 7C is already full. When you phase II it, the waitlist might be too big idk.

There is no waitlist for 7C. You just have to enroll in once someone drops it.
