[] Counselor Rec: Incredible. From someone who knows me very well.
[] Hook (if any): homeschooler with a massive amount of college credits and lots and lots of community service? I've travelled and volunteered around the world solo, often to some pretty gritty third world places (spent 6 months of the past year abroad in 6 different countries, about to go away again for 4 months this summer), and I'm female. Also, I'm sweet as pie!

[] State or Country: MA
[] Ethnicity: white
[li] Gender: Female[/li][/ul]

General Comments: I'm excited, can't wait to meet everyone at the preview days!

Hey guys,
I mean, its pretty cool that we all wanna get to know each other, but do you really think sharing application information is the way to do it? We don't need to brag to each other about our stats, im sure all of them are amazing. How bout lets just share some cool things about ourselves, and leave out the numbers. I'm not gonna choose friends next year by SAT scores or counselor recommendations.
I'll tell everyone that my passion is music. I play a bunch of instruments, but guitar is my main, and im well into jazz. So chances are if you end up rooming next to me, you'll hear some tunes floatin around the hall. I also love hip-hop, and I'm working on getting equipment to DJ. If anyone goin to Williams next year is into music, or just wants to talk, my aim is "Rebellic Fish"

Hope to hear from some people,
Ben

I think mainly these threads are done for the sake of next year's class, to help them gauge their chances and such.

But okay, in that case, I love Ani DiFranco and building using mud. :)

I agree with rebellic fish.

I think US news and other college guides potray quite accurately the stat most Williams students have. Posting stat on CC just doesn't suite Williams:S. I guess you noticed that after the ED decisions, accepted Ephs did not post their stats here unless someone asked them to.

Rebellic fish:
I play the guitar too:) Do you listen to Pink Floyd?

I agree with the people above. And on a side note, as I was skimming the stats, I couldn't help but wonder how I got in. :)
Now, on another note,
I try to play the guitar. I also try to play the piano. I wish I were better, but I still enjoy myself.

Woah. It turned into a real smiley.

Haha! :D Emoticons are so cooL!

I can't play the piano at all. Want to learn though.

Decision: Accepted!!!!!

Stats:[ul]
[] SAT: 2140 (740 CR,710 W,690 M).....Pretty Pitiful I know
[] SAT IIs: 780 Bio M, 770 Math iic, 760 US History
[] GPA: 4.3 (weighted)
[] Rank: I'm not sure...haven't checked since last year...but it's definately high
[li] Other stats: National Merit, National Hispanic Scholar, President of French Honor Society, National Honor Society, plenty of community service groups, church youth group, student tutoring program, model UN....and a lot more but I'm too lazy to post.
[/li]

[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: Amazing
[] Teacher Recs: Incredible
[] Counselor Rec: Beats me
[] Hook (if any): Hispanic Male

[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Illinois
[] School Type: Suburban public
[] Ethnicity: Mexican-American
[] Gender: M

[/ul]Other Factors: Not too sure
General Comments: I'm extremely excited to have gotten accepted and I am happy to say that I will be attending the multi-cultural program. So, if there's anyone else going, why don't we try to get to know each other so that we're not completely clueless?

Wow, why is mine green?

It should be purple! Congratulations.

lol, my least favorite thing about Williams is its color.

I HATE PURPLE. I'm not sure if it's enough to dissuade me from not going there...

But yeah, if it's going to be everywhere...

Eh, I have the oddest hang-ups.

is there anyone on this board from the nyc general area? or anyone at all that just wants to talk about Williams cuz its the s**t? anyone?

yea tru dat, purple is not the best color. but every school has its disadvantages, glad williams' could be as insignificant as that.

You know that Williamstown is known as the Purple Valley, right? At dusk, the surrounding mountains do seem to be purple. The color will grow on you.

Plus, purple is the color of royalty.

I don't mind natural purple that appears... well, in nature.

But synthetic purple... Blah.

"but every school has its disadvantages, glad williams' could be as insignificant as that."

I agree.

Decision: Accepted
