Has anyone been admitted to Williams off of the waitlist yet this year?
Hi @viclover I am on the waitlist. I don’t think they’ve sent out any offers yet. But we should hear from them soon, I guess. Sent in a few updates about why Williams is my top choice and stuff. How about you?
hey! i did too! williams has been my dream school for a long time. i sent them a loci after i got waitlisted and then a short statement when they emailed asking me to reconfirm my interest
So are you an international applicant? I’m international, and on top of that, an aid applicant. Odds don’t favour me lol

I think everyone gets it. Even I got it.
How many people are on the waitlist? And in your experience, is getting in off the waitlist very hard? @viclover
I thought the email did mean something but i have no idea. i think getting in off the waitlist is really difficult tbh
When I called yesterday, they said they were in a holding pattern and results may come out in a few weeks…perhaps even until June.
Do you think they already released waitlist decisions? How can you be sure?

It feels like only us 3 are talking. Even if something was happening, we might miss it.
I was waitlisted! I have not heard anything other than the continued interest email from a few days ago. However, I did get a mysterious email from the FAFSA a few days ago about how a correction had been made by someone from my school (I didn’t make a correction)… I can’t help but wonder if that was related to one of my waitlists…
I think holding pattern means they didn’t finish deciding yet
Alao waitlisted, and received the reconfirm-your-interest email a couple of days ago, but heard nothing ever since, despite that the email said “while we won’t know until later this week if or to what extent…”, which suggests that they would have known yesterday (and given us the final verdict).
Last year 2,343 people were offered a place on the waitlist, 864 of them accepted the place, and 24 ultimately got in off the waitlist.
Agree with viclover in that “the email did mean something”, and disagree with asliwelhamite (“everyone gets it”) based on this thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/williams-college/1888660-official-williams-college-waitlist-2020.html).
Last year only a limited number of waitlisters got the reconfirm email in early May (many didn’t), and it seems only the receivers of the reconfirm email had the fortune to get in off the waitlist.
So we are in the same boat. Keep everyone posted if there are any updates.
Refer to this" http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/19643192/#Comment_19643192". The guy got the reconfirm email on May 02 (and given 48 hrs to consider), and got the offer on May 05 (together with other 14 waitlisters).
@StNicholas if you remember, our letters on the portal said 350-600 people get a spot on the waitlist. Where did you get the 2343 figure?
Or did they mean 350-600 people ACCEPT a spot on the waitlist?
